Watching Glee-fully

My brother told me a long time ago that he thought I would enjoy watching Glee.  I'd heard about it, but never managed to tune in.

Well... Art and I saw that Glee was on Netflix Instant Streaming so we started watching it.  At first we were turned off with some of the over the top plots, but it didn't take long before we were hooked.  All the music numbers are so much fun to watch.

We're up to the 17th episode of Season #1.    I can truly understand why it's been such a big hit. Have you seen Glee yet?

  2. I haven't seen it, but then again I don't watch a lot of TV. Since it's available on Netflix, and I've been thinking of subscribing to the streaming part, I might end up watching it too. Who knows? :-)

  6. I've never seen Glee. David might like the music, but he might not. I was introduced to Netflicks when I was ill and my co-workers gave me a subscription. I passed the time watching 'Sex in the City' which I had never seen. These days we almost never watch broadcast series, so don't know most of the younger actors.

Do you think your Mom would like Glee?

  7. I remember when Glee first came on. I told my daughter we should watch it as it sounded good. We watched the first episode and weren't impressed and never watched another. It has become quite the hit. I just switched my Netflix to streaming only . . . that's another story. I'll have to give Glee a try again. Thanks for the tip!

  8. I'm afraid of getting hooked, and it looks a little cornier than when I was a "pointy glasses nerd" in 5th grade...DrumMajor

  9. I watched one show and did not like it, because it seemed so contrived. I am the type of person who likes Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, and West Side Story. Now, that's music I love to listen to over and over again.

  10. Many of my friends are real fans and have told us that we would love it because we were so closely associated with the music program at the high school were my husband was principal. For some reason, neither of us can really get into it. I'm not a t.v. watcher. That might be the reason.

  11. Ron: Thanks, Ron. I just fixed the link. I hope. I don't know what I did wrong that first time.

  14. I've never heard of it, but then I never watch TV! Sounds fun, I'll have to look for it on Netflix! Hope your weekend is going well, Kay! Enjoy!

  15. I've heard of it, but haven't paid much attention. When Dick isn't home, I don't think of TV, and when he is home, we have a certain number of things we watch. But your comment about music numbers really caught my attention. Perhaps we should check it out.

  16. My son and daughter-in-law love to watch Glee but we haven't yet. I felt the same way about Doc Martin, have you seen it? About a grumpy doctor setting up his practice in a small Cornish coastal village. I always passed it over but my friends told me it could be hilarious. I'm hooked now.

  17. A blogger recommended Doc Martin to me and I even wrote a post about it. We were totally hooked on Doc Martin. We've watched all the episodes on Netflix Instant Streaming. I've heard that they're filming another season. I sure hope so.

  18. I had an enjoyable time reading all your post updates. I copied your posts on back-ups, DVD and external drives. Last Wednesday I had 3 bad things happen – my car would not start (it is still not starting) my cell phone died and my laptop screen went black – it crashed. My laptop, an HP, is only 2 years old. Luckily several months ago I bought a small Seagate external drive and it was attached to my laptop. When I placed the external drive to my husband desktop computer, all my pictures and documents, etc. came up. Now of course I have to buy another laptop as it would cost as much to repair the broken one.
Now I will look at Wordpress to back-up my blog as you did. I have my blog printed into a book every six months as my husband wanted a hard copy.
I looked at the 43 sites to be seen and it mentioned Hana in Hawaii. Have you been there? Where is it exactly – an island?

  19. Yes! I watch it for the musical numbers. I have no use for high school drama, but I love the music.

  20. I watched a bit of it when it first came on and was turned off by the stereotypical characters and lost interest.
I guess I need more than song and dance.
