77 Year Record Broken!

It really has been an amazing week.  It was rainy and cool  for several days when we arrived and then suddenly the sun came out and stayed.

Now we've learned that this has been the "Longest streak of consecutive 100% sunny days in 77 years!"

We need to add 2 more consecutive days to that streak because yesterday and today was bright and warm, too!

We brought down only the Spring-Fall clothes from the attic when we arrived in Illinois.  Now I'm wondering if we need to bring down the Summer box.

  1. Could you send some of that over here, please? That's amazing! Now I understand why we've been so cool and rainy, we always seem to be opposite the midwest weather.

  3. Soak up the sunshine. I guess you get your share of that in Hawaii, but it is nice to know you are getting some where you are.

  7. Hope you get those two days but I think the weather man says rain Wednesday, we are just across the lake from Chicago.

  8. I would have thought Chicago would have lots more sunny days! I'm glad you're having sun to get out and work and play with the kids.
Our weather has turned so cold and wet and dark so severely that summer seems long lost.

  10. As an Israeli it is hard for me to believe your chart is what constitutes a record for sunny days.
