Sunday was such a gorgeous, sunny day that Tiffany suggested we go to the Wisconsin Outlet Mall. (This is after she and Art ran the 5K Bucktown Race.)
Well, I'm always game for going to any Outlet Mall and this one in Wisconsin is my favorite.
Tiffany loves to see just how good a deal she can get. What the heck! So do I! I don't know where she gets it, but she had a handful of $5.00 off coupons. Granted, this can make me buy something that I don't really truly need in stores I don't always frequent.
Art and I had gone off by ourselves and I found these two long sleeve blouses which I'll leave in Illinois. They were $19.00 down to $9.99 at Eddie Bauer. I happen to like Eddie Bauer things.
I thought this was a pretty darn good deal until Tif insisted we go to the Van Heusen store because she had a $5.00 off coupon. "I don't need another blouse," I insisted.
"Mom," Tiffany raised one eyebrow. "When have I steered you wrong?"
Well, she found this $46.00 blouse (the purple ruffly one), down 70%, minus the $5.00 off coupon and I had to pay just $10.16. And you know what? I really like it! I'd like to bring it home to Hawaii, but I'll keep it in Illinois also. I don't have much use for long sleeves in Hawaii.
Well... it was certainly a successful shopping expedition for everybody, but I need to get to sleep. I'm still not perfect. I'm able to get some sleep, but I'm waking up at 3:30 AM. I don't understand why. Sighhhh...

OK, but don't shop until you drop.
ReplyDeleteI love Eddie Bauer clothes,, I order them often.I would have been in heaven! I also love the purple one,, very nice.I hope you sleep well tonight
ReplyDeleteI love outlet shopping but I don't ever seem to get bargains as good you you did....you did great!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty blouse and I'm sure it looks good on you. Here in the PNW, I don't have much use for short sleeves or sleeveless blouses! They are used for maybe a week or two, then back to long sleeves. These look to be three-quarter sleeves to me.
ReplyDeletehow fun to have two wardrobes for different locations...
ReplyDeleteI love that purple blouse with the ruffles! What a great buy!
ReplyDeletelove your deals Kay! Who can resist a bargain and those are good quality clothes too.
ReplyDeleteI love your deals, too, Kay! Lovely blouse and who can resist a bargain like that! Hope you're having a great visit -- it does sound like it!!

You seem to like purple. Good buys! I haven't purchased a blouse in over a century, preferring to wear long muumuus. LOL. But you knew that already...
ReplyDeletegigihawaii: You're right! I love purple and fuchsia. Even KC knows the color fuchsia because I like it so much.
ReplyDeleteSylvia: Having a great time, but for some reason I CAN'T get my internal time clock in sync.
Fabulous bargains. Tif hasn't steered you wrong yet, right? LOL

I really like the top you found. I have been looking for something similar with long sleeves. I should have stopped at the outlet mall on my way home from Denver day before yesterday. I was tempted. I guess I needed a super shopper like Tiffany with me.
ReplyDeleteI got an Eddie Bauer t-shirt second hand for $2.00at Value Village in Seattle. A flight attendant on Hawaiian Airlines complimented me on it! They do have nice things.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to go shopping with your daughter.
And that is such a pretty time of year where you are. I remember that well from living there for five years. I love your banner photo of the fall colors.
You can't pass up a bargain like that:-)
