Blue

I'm feeling a little blue.

Chicago Botanic Garden water lily
I've just finished doing our digital trip album for Illinois.  We're home and over the jet lag.  I've made doctor type appointments.  We've resumed our life here in Hawaii.  We accomplished a lot while we were in Illinois.  We've had great trips  this spring, summer and fall. Art is almost totally over his cold.  I do believe I've actually managed to dodge the germs this time even with everybody sick around me.  Tiffany called to say KC has just caught some kind of germ and is very sick.  Two of her friends who she has spent time with ended up in the ER.  It's worrisome.  My mind is a jumble.  I'm tired.

I'll be better tomorrow.  But for now... I'm just feeling a little blue.

  3. I think you need a well-deserved rest Kay, and I'm glad you haven't caught the dreaded cold/flu. Hope KC feels better soon, glad that Art is almost better. I hope your Mom is well. And I hope tomorrow you feel not so blue.

  4. A good nights sleep can cure almost anything. You will feel better today. As beautiful as Hawaii is, I am sure you are missing your kids. I know the feeling. Dianne

  6. I hope your spirits improve soon, Kay. As on the go as you have been for a while a little let-down now is not hard to understand. Take care of yourself and of course you know Tiffany is taking great care of KC.

  8. Think Dianne is probably right. Pull up a chair in the sun and just relax for a while, then go make some phone calls to your kids.
    Hope KC is much better.

  9. I find that coming home from a trip, especially a long one (we're about to take a 5 week vacation) can make me feel a bit strange...yeh maybe the blues...lots of adjustments biologically and mentally to process.

  12. It sounds like you've got a bad case of anti-climax. You spent so much of your trip to Illinois looking after everyone else, on top of looking after your mother and your aunt on your Alaskan trip that you must be quite worn out. You need to give in to feeling blue, even pretend that you've caught a bug if need be, and let other people look after you for a change.

  13. Friends care, Kay.

I know you will come 'round soon to your usual condition.

    Feel better soon.

Nice thinking about the Nisei WWII guys getting their medals in DC today, eh?

    Feel Better!

  15. If Art is feeling better, maybe he could pamper you for a little while. You deserve it.
Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery for you and KC.

  17. You have been so busy, doing so many trips, and now you are back home. Of course you are a bit depressed. Ease yourself back into the rhythms and routines of life in Hawaii, and it will get better.
