Although the day began with a torrential downpour, it seemed as though my mother's mom and dad were looking out for us from up above.
Here's the staff saying goodbye to us.
This time we decided to try lavender soft serve! Wonderful!
The Milky Way Falls outside of Sounkyu was truly beautiful. We were in awe of the striking fall colors everywhere.
Well, I've caught up to today and I'm sorry I have to do this in a rush. There's no Internet in our room so I have to do this at the front desk. Not easy but I was determined to catch up. We'll be headed to Sapporo tomorrow and will return our rental car. We'll then catch a bullet train back to Sendai. Wish us luck!
OK I do, I wish you luck! So far so good.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much I'm enjoying your tour of Japan - the colours, the beautiful food, the scenery, all tremendous.
ReplyDeletewow, gorgeous fall colors. what a waterfall. there is so much to see, bet you'd like to stay for a month. seems you are doing well with the driving on the wrong side. safe journey and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteI have fallen behind and am just catching up on your journey. What fun to seem to be having and what memories you will take back to Hawaii. I am enjoying your trip.
ReplyDeleteTwo things have occurred to me: the beds and sitting places so close to the floor would be a bit difficult for me to get up from (poorly worded sentence, but you get the idea), and those lovely meals would require lots of dish washing!
Looking forward to you new post....
I am enjoying all the pictures and stories of your travels. There are so many beautiful places on this earth. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThere's a LOT of soft serve flavors over there! Dennis may not want to come home. Kay, the fall colors are so striking; that's one of the things I miss about living where they have season changes. Thanks for taking the time to catch up, Kay...It brightens my day to 'go on vacation' with you daily. Not to mention I get to see your faces daily. Ok then, while you go off on another grand adventure, I shall get ready to go to work! Thanks for the smiles you gave me when I saw your posts...it will carry me through the day.
ReplyDeleteGood ice-cream...
ReplyDeleteBelles photos encore...
Belle journée à Vous !
Thank you Kay for sharing your wonderful trip with us! Safe trip home!!
ReplyDeleteI was thionking what Jo was thinking - beds on the floor - hard to get up! And those meals look like they must take a long time to eat. Do you know what goes with what? I would need a food tutor.
