Before leaving I have a few minutes to show you the toilet which my brother says he would love to take home with him. (Ahem, he and mom do have the larger deluxe hotel room and it's twice the size of ours just like in Utoro. Don't ever let anyone tell you I don't do anything for him... OK... so it's for my mom, too.)
Here's the toilet selections next to the potty. You get to choose where the warm jet stream should hit. To the back to really clean you up, to the front (for women) and also the strength of the spray. It really is great once you get used to it! You use a lot less toilet paper. And...oh yes...the toilet seat is also heated! Imagine how much I would have loved that in Chicago in January!
And look at this... two toilet rolls! You never run out!
Our toilet is very small....(Did I mention my brother and mother's much larger toilet? Ohhhh, I did?) Still, it's amazing what you can fit in there if you are efficient and organize your space creatively. See the hose? It's connected from the sink to the tub. A switch gives you the option to direct the water flow to your sink or to your tub. There's no little packets of soap. It comes out from the dispenser and holds body/face wash, shampoo and rinse (conditioner).
Too, too wonderful... Oh did I say that before, too? They also provide you with nightwear (yukata or night shirt) and room slippers.
Love it! Love it!
This really is a fascinating toilet! ; )
ReplyDeleteAll kidding aside, I am amazed at the technology!
I have been following every day of your wonderful trip and have been enjoying it thoroughly with interest and fascination! Thank you so very much for your daily posts.
ReplyDeleteann
don't get too spoiled, we laughed and laughed over the fancy toilets and of course my son had to push all the buttons and we had water spraying up and around cause no one was seated. so funny.
ReplyDeleteI have so enjoyed taking a trip to Japan with you Kay. I do love this potty too..
ReplyDeleteI think the toilet summarises what we in the UK would expect of the Japanese technology - super efficient, everything you could think of wanting, and good looking. Wouldn't it be great to have one like that at home.
ReplyDeleteHello !
ReplyDeleteVery cute explain...
These toilets are "surprising"...
See You later.
Well I guess that answers all my questions, and then some! Thanks Kay.
