Tiffany and Art went out early Sunday morning for the Bucktown 5K Race. I barely heard them leave. It's really fantastic that Tiffany has been running and exercising. It's really toned her body even further and she looks fabulous!
Art took these photos for me so I could see what it all looked like. They tell me the crowd of runners was incredible.
Here's the father and daughter team. They were actually also running with Jane, one of Tiffany's friends who is a physician. I was counting on her to watch out for Art.
Art says Tiffany was trying to run too fast but they had a respectable finish. I'm very proud of both of them. By the time I finished my breakfast, they had returned jubilant.
I was surprised at the goodies they received for participating in the race. They did receive the usual bananas and apples, etc.
However, they also got these awesome jackets that were quite well made and fun to wear. It's perfect for the fall weather we're having!

They ran through Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood.

Well done, Art and Tif!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was Tiffany's age and could start running and working out, in no time I'd see a difference in my body. Not these days, though: I'm just trying to keep everything from falling apart! Congratulations to Art and Tif, and I always enjoy hearing about people out and about! :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteKudos to Art and Tiffany. They should be very proud of themselves. My youngest daughter was supposed to run a half marathon this coming weekend but has ended up with a stress fracture in her foot....she is very disappointed.
ReplyDeleteGood for them. I see you're not tempted at all - any more than I am when Christopher goes out running!
ReplyDeleteNice way to work off the calories from the previous day. Isn't it funny how healthy people get healthier like the rich get richer...don't mind my ramblings.
ReplyDeleteL.
Congratulations, Art and Tif. Alas, nobody runs races in my family, though Lisa likes to jog around our village.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Art and Tiffany. I used to be able to run (really) but I was a sprinter, and couldn't manage distances.
ReplyDeleteI like the jackets.

I love the way you share your travels. Your daughter is lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so abundant in Illinois in the fall. I hope their winter will not be as harsh as it was last year.
Good for Art and Tif, good for you for being proud of them, and good for you for not feeling the least bit guilty that you weren't out there with them! Some people are runners, and some of us were meant to just walk.
ReplyDeletewhat an accomplishment!!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad for Art and Tif for running a good race. Those jackets are very nice looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a team! Mazal tov to father and daughter.
