I'm having a hard time keeping up with my blog lately. There's just been too many projects, too many this and thats going on. I suppose I need to somehow get myself more organized, but it's too hard.
I'm now trying to finish my new grandson's 1st Year photobook and my granddaughter's 10 Year photobook for her 10th birthday. It is a much larger, more complicated project than I envisioned when I started.
I've also felt very badly that I've been unable to keep up with visiting all of my blogging family who kindly continue to comment and keep me uplifted when I'm stressed.
Therefore, I'll be taking another intermittent hiatus and will post something quickly if anything happens that I want to share, but I won't be doing it regularly for a while until my life returns to normal again.
POSTSCRIPT:
OMG! OMG! Can it really be true?
We're still pinching ourselves. Wow! Our daughter, Tiffany went out to buy the Chicago Tribune and said the paper was sold out everywhere.
OMG! OMG!

Yep it's true. Hope she manages to find a paper. Now get to work on those special scarp books so you can get back here. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI'll miss you while you're gone, but you're one of my favorite bloggers, so when you come back, I'll be here. And yes, it happened. I've cried plenty of tears of happiness myself over this wonderful news. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood for you to take a break. I do that sometimes and it is a wise approach to blogging.
ReplyDeleteI will really miss you. I start my day with you every morning, but I certainly understand getting behind on the projects. Yes, the Cubbies winning is more than exciting...we watched that whole last game cheering at the end.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break and get those important photo books all polished up. We will be here when you return.
ReplyDeleteCome back soon Kay!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the Cubs won
ReplyDeletealso I'm really surprised the Chicago Tribune is one of the major newspapers in Chicago given that it's a right-wing newspaper. I'd rather read the Chicago Sun-Times
I have done a book for each grandchild at their birthdays, using photos from the previous year leading up to that birthday. They are getting harder because I have fewer photos, especially of Leeya. When Leeya was tiny, and we had the apartment in San Francisco, we saw her weekly. Then, after returning to Fresno, we made sure to see her and her brother on a monthly basis. Then school started for Leeya and I started the school chaplaincy. Now we go 6 weeks between visits and there are just fewer photos. I'm not too sure how much longer I can keep doing the photo books.
ReplyDeleteThought of you when the last out was made. Congrats to you and all the long suffering Cub fans. Its is about time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the hiatus. Been there, done that and it does refresh.
You need a break! You are so busy!
ReplyDeleteYes! I thought of your family in Chicago! Also, we had some players on the Cubs that used to be on the Braves, so my Dad was glad when the Cubs won...the World Series!!
ReplyDeleteTake a break, my friend, you deserve it. xx
Yes news that the Cubs won made it onto UK TV too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blogging break.
All the best Jan
I guess you're happy that the cubs won. sometimes we have to set priorities. I sometimes struggle to keep up with what I want to do in blogland.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you immediately, Kay, as that game went into extra innings, wondering if you had heard the news!
ReplyDeleteHurray, hurray, hurray for Chicago! Enjoy your break, come back when it feels right.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't stopped celebrating in our house. :)
ReplyDeleteI will miss you, hope you get your mojo back, and will be awaiting your return, whenever that might be. :)
Don't stay away too long. I enjoy reading your take on life. And you must have something to day after Election Day!
ReplyDeleteI hear you loud and clear on too many things going on and not enough time to blog anymore. It is the same with me. I look forward to seeing you whenever you can post. Take care, Kay.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great weekend!
Enjoy your hiatus, and Go Cubs!
ReplyDeleteI used to blog daily, then everyother day now it's 2-3 times/week. Life can be demanding!
ReplyDeleteI do have a hard time keeping up with my blogs (http://www.brookvilleoh.blogspot.com). Patty, my wife of 61 years and now 80 said I was too old at 82 to keep up with much of anything.
ReplyDeleteBlessings....
ReplyDeleteLife happens and sometimes we need to take small hiatus from this or that.
peace.

You take it easy! Just have fun!
ReplyDeleteMy Chicago cousins went nuts.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your hiatus as I take them occasionally, too. FWIW I highly recommend reading this commentary I became aware of just today. She's a prominent highly respected 49 year old Russian and American Journalist Masha Gessen who has had first hand experience living as a citizen in both countries:

I sure miss you.
ReplyDeleteI miss you too, Mage, but I'm up to my ears, I'm afraid.
DeleteWe are in deep deep trouble. So we have to set our priorities. We will be here when you return to your blog.
