Leap Year 12th Blogaversary!

I started writing my blog 12 years ago on Friday, February 29th which was a Leap Year. Darn! This year, February 29th is tomorrow so I still can't post on my actual Blogaversary. Well... I could... but... I'm sticking to my schedule.

Whenever I reach one of the blog milestones I marvel at how long I've been writing. I have written 3,322 blog posts! It doesn't seem possible.

I just hope people forgive me when I repeat myself. It's hard to remember what I've written about and with my memory lapses, it becomes even more probable that I will.

There are a number of blogger friends like Dina, Linda, DJan, Lin, Michelle, Leona, Christine, Cloudia and others who have supported me from almost the very start and to whom I would like to extend my love and gratitude.

There are more who have left blogging or since passed away who I miss even now. We all get to know and care about each other so well through cyber connections.

And there are even more bloggers who I have met in the last 12 years to whom I would like to send my deepest gratitude for your friendship, kindness and advice.

You are all the BEST! Thank you. Thank you so much!

  2. I worry about repeating myself too, but much of the audience changes and if we can't remember what we post, it's not likely that readers will. However, as I said, I fret about it too, no matter what I just said. :)

  5. Got you beat a bit. My blog is 16 years old. It started as a daily diary, but I allowed comments and thus it became a true blog. You are so correct in saying that we grow close to each other. I have a blog friend now who is in the hospital and I worry about her every day and have not heard much!

  6. Blogging has sure opened up a whole new world to us, hasn't it? I love the people I meet through blogging. Some I've actually met in 3D, but most, like you, I will probably only know through the words on the page. That's okay, too. Keep writing.

  7. thanks for your support even today with my blog. I've written since Nov 2007 so thats 12 years last Nov! Amazing how fast the years have past and my blog took place of my many scrapbooks that no one ever even hubby took time to read. Now some of my family reads my blog especially when I put a link on FACEBOOK.

  10. 3322 posts is a very admirable number. Congratulations. Yes. I know I repeat myself but the second time round is a better post isn't it?

  11. Well Happy Day! I was just looking at the blog list on my site and wondering what has happened to some who have dropped off over the years. You have been most faithful blogger, I think.

  12. Happy Blogaversary. Wow that is a ton of posts and words. Congrats big time. Like you I worry about those who have disappeared and I just hope they burned out or found other things to do.

  13. I too wonder about some of our old blog friends who have disappeared into the ether.
Thanks for keeping track of your blogaversary. That means mine is coming soon, but I always forget to keep track. :-)

  14. Congratulations!

I've been blogging since early in 2008, so I guess I've had my 12-year anniversary too. Its getting harder for me to come up with good topics to write about.

  18. You have a good record and you are consistent with 5x/week when you're not on hiatus. I haven't been able to maintain that pace. And I did start in the same year July 16, 2008. Never think to celebrate it. COngratulations. It's alwasy fun to read of your exploits and discoveries.

  20. Happy, Happy, HAPPY! HAPPY 12th Blogaversary, Kay! It has been a wonderful and fun journey interacting with you here in cyber-space. I joined Blogger in March of 2008, and you have been a supportive constant from the beginning.

Your friendship and your support is what kept me from giving up and leaving the Blog-0-sphere (made up word). I remember whining and feeling sorry for myself because nobody read/commented on my NEW blog. Your advice..."Leona, just write it and post it like you're writing a diary entry." THAT made all the difference. I stayed and I'm glad I did...Thanks to YOU!

Let me STOP! I need to get a grip on myself here.

Love & Hugggss to you, Kay. Happy Blogaversary!

I really LOVE hearing from you! However, if you sign in as ANONYMOUS, please don't forget to tell me who you are in the comment box by just writing your first name. We would all appreciate it if you kept your comment respectful and kind.

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. Therefore, if your comment does not go up on an older (more than a day old) post, it's because I need to OK it first. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
