Mysterious Flowers

Last month, Art went out around 6:00 AM get the morning paper and saw this at our front door.

Tulips, lilies, baby's breath and chrysanthemums were in a large, very beautiful vase.

And no card or tag as to who sent it.

No one rang the bell to insure we'd find it.

I sent text messages to friends and relatives, but they said it wasn't from them.

It was perplexing and disconcerting for us not being able to thank someone for such a beautiful gift.

It sure is pretty though and I'm loving the color and cheer it brings to our kitchen table.

Still...

I'm wondering...

Would you like to get flowers without knowing who sent them?

  1. What a lovely surprise! I guess you will just have to enjoy them and maybe the mystery will get solved eventually.

  2. No, I don't think I would like that so much. Could they have come to the wrong address?

  4. I guess not knowing would bother me... but on the other hand, it's kind of a nice surprise.

  5. I would enjoy them. Of course, I might wonder if someone else was supposed to get them, but perhaps the sender will ask that person about the flowers, and when they learn the true receiver never got them, look into the situation. However the flowers ended up on your porch, just accept them and enjoy them.

  6. Very Strange. They look professionally done which would have meant a card included.

  7. I would feel a bit creeped out if I asked around and no one acknowledged the gift that came in the wee hours of the morning or late at night.

  8. I wonder if it was a mistake. Or you have secret admirers!

  9. Glad the thrown newspaper didn't hit the vase; (unless you have a paper slot by the curb.) Mysteriously beautiful! Are they for your Mom? From her adult care center or someone there? Linda in Kansas

  12. I love to get flowers, but would feel odd if I couldn't thank the person who gave them to me. They are beautiful!

  13. I would worry that they had been misdelivered, meant for someone else.

  14. I'd also think they were misdelivered.
