Team Lab Digital Art Museum
Breakfast: Nigiri (rice ball), miso soup, apple juice
9:00 AM We left for Team Lab digital museum on the Kasuga Metro line which was right across the street from our Toyoko Inn.
We'd been to a couple of other teamLab digital museums and were looking forward to seeing this new one at Azabudai Hills.
Art had bought tickets online and the QR codes were sent to us just the day before.
It really was a lot of fun.
We bought the ice cream and tea to see the digital effects on it.
The digital branches, leaves and flowers would grow on the surface of your tea and ice cream. It was mesmerizing to watch.
Everything was light, colors and movement.
We were there for three hours!
However, there it was! Absolutely beautiful.
And yup. We just picked up some sushi bentos for dinner and went to bed. We were tired and tomorrow would be a long train travel day from Tokyo to Kobe.
I've heard about those museums and seen lots of pictures from them but have never been in the same town when they've been there. They look spectacular to experience though so I hope someday we'll cross paths.

ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the team lab digital art museum, but it certainly looks like it would be loads of fun to visit. I'm definitely going to check it out if I ever get to visit Tokyo..... but I have no idea when that might be!

DeleteI've never heard of Team Lab. I will have to research it here. Didn't you suffer from vertigo a while back? Did the lights affect you?

ReplyDeleteI, too, am fascinated by the digital art museum. I tried to see if anything like that is located near us, but it seems the nearest one would be in NYC.
ReplyDeleteKay, thanks for sharing this. I'd never heard of a digital museum before... kind of reminded me of those holograms (?) on Star Trek where people could virtually live out a fantasy onboard ship.
