I wrote before about how I thought someone had removed that Tesla "T" from the back of their car. https://travelerswife.blogspot.com/search?q=tesla
Well...
The other day we were driving home after shopping and Art pointed out another Tesla car. I laughed and said they must have removed their T also. Art said he thought the TESLA wording would appear in lights when the car stopped at the stoplight.
It didn't.
But then I looked closely and saw this.

While what you say might be true, there is also a large culture out there now in the car world of people removing names and id badges from their vehicles. I have seen them in the Toyota, Ford and Chevy world around where I live at least. There are also lots of videos on YouTube showing how it is done. One simply needs a heating gun and some dental floss.
ReplyDeleteI think the sale of his car brand is down. 9 percent drop.
ReplyDeleteThe best ones I've seen are old Toyota trucks where the owners left the word 'Toy' or 'Yota' on the their tailgates.

ReplyDeleteI would want to remove that name too, especially if I had one of those really ugly ones.
ReplyDeleteThose cars are made right here in California, up in the Bay Area. Anytime we head that direction we see dozens, and I mean dozens, of the car carriers moving the various models out and into the world. Tesla is making thousands of these vehicles even though sales are supposedly down. As for the name, the company removed the logo last year. I remember the news at the time it was done, but I don't remember the reasoning behind the removal. I really pay little attention to the company except when I see the huge car carriers on Hwy 101 loaded front to back with more of the vehicles. I keep wondering, who is buying all these cars?
ReplyDeleteTeslas have an unmistakable look as far as I'm concerned. There are many of them in WA. I saw one the other day that had replaced the Tesla name with TOYOTA. Lol
ReplyDeleteInteresting observation. Not that it designed correctly anyway, but the trunk flap overhang certainly hides the name. It's hiding in shame. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteIf it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck.
ReplyDeleteKay of Musings: 😂
DeleteOh Honolulu Aunty, you made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how ugly the Teslas are. Now I've offendeded the people with Teslas.

ReplyDeleteThat is one car I would never own.
At the protest today, we were shocked to see a Tesla drive by. He gave us a thumbs up and beeped.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe ANYONE is buying those cars anymore 🚗⚡
