It sent a shiver up my spine. We've been hearing a lot about the terrible fires in California. It felt like we couldn't get home fast enough.
When we returned home, this was the view from my window. Thank goodness they got the brush fire under control. I somehow feel comforted having a fire fighter living across the street. I'm thinking he'll let us know if we really have something to worry about.
I understand that because of the dry weather we've been having, we're under a fire watch. As I write this, we just got a burst of rain but it was over in seconds. Still, it was nice.
