I started blogging on a Leap Year Day, February 29th 2008! It all began when Dina of Jerusalem Hills Daily Photo e-mailed to tell me I should try blogging and that she would hold my hand through it. I'd tried before but couldn't get past choosing a title for the blog. I finally decided to just settle on Musings because it was non committal and I didn't have anything against it. The idea of Dina in Jerusalem holding my hand and guiding me through the process across the Atlantic in Illinois was such a wonder! We had e-mails darting back and forth until I could stand on my own.
Now blogging has become an important part of my life! Thank you, mahalo, toda, arigato, Merci, gracias, etc. everyone for being part of my life. What a wonderful feeling to be connected to all of you! I never feel alone. I always feel like the world is at my fingertips. Isn't it all amazing?
Congrats on your 1st anniversary Kay

ReplyDeleteI had to look back to see when I first posted. It was April 8th of last year, just before we went to the Netherlands. I do know that you were my first reader/commentor. I was so amazed that someone out there found me! My family read my early postings, but never commented. Still don't. I got more readers through you.
Thank you for nearly a year of cyber friendship.

ReplyDeleteYou do it so well, I thought you had been around longer than I have. My anniversary was in January. It hasn't taken you long to accumulate a long list of followers--I think it must be you.
ReplyDeletehappy b-day! it's amazing how fast a year rolls around. I appreciate you introducing me to so many new blogging friends and being one of my first new bloggers. Now I teach blogging-doesn't take long in this cyber world. At the family history conference this past weekend-they talked about facebook opportunities for us older bloggers to share our genealogy and photos...so I'm going to do that. I notice my kids check facebook more often than they do my blog. Here's to many more years of blogging!
ReplyDeleteHappy 1 year anniversary to you! I am so very glad that I am part of your blogging family. You always leave such gracious and cheerful comments on my blog! I have so enjoyed this past year of following you and your family. I feel like I am right there with you at times. Thank you for sharing with us.
