Since I don't drive anymore Rocky picked us up and brought us to the dealership to get our car.

My eyes felt like crossing as Rocky told us how to operate the Prius. I could barely keep up with what he was telling us but I could tell Art was excited with his new toy.

I told Art I could learn how to drive again with the smaller new car. I swear I saw his eyes cross.
I bet you'll love the new car. I see so many of them these days, and I always feel a little envious. Maybe our next one will be a Prius.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'd love to own a Prius, but it is so expensive. I think David said it costs $32,000 fully loaded with all the options. Out of our league, sorry!
ReplyDeleteYou will love the independence knowing how to drive will bring.
Good luck with the new Prius. It is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could get one but our 2003 Toyota is still like new and only 30K miles.
Thanks for visiting my old 1942 store on Pick a Peck of Pixels.
Congratulations on the new car! I'm sure you'll both enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteWell, congratulations. How fun!

ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I'm envious! Please let us know how you like it, and you should definitely get behind the wheel again. Freedom is important!

ReplyDeleteI would love to own a Prius..maybe my next car....
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I have followed with interest all of your careful shopping for major purchases. You have so much patience! I'm glad the wait is over for the car.
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to hear why you gave up driving.
Linda: I learned to drive when the kids started pre-school but was always a fearful driver. I had two accidents and yes, my fault. Once I retired, Art drove everywhere and I rarely had to go out for myself. I haven't driven in 4 years but I know I need to start again. It's scary for me.
ReplyDeleteKay;
ReplyDeleteI still think you're a great driver, coming from one of your teachers.
I have seen so many of these cars down here , would love to have one.
Maybe when our Honda wears out.
