They looked on the other side...
and were surprised to find she had fallen asleep with her little nene (sleep) blanket tucked under her. Apparently she slept for a half hour, got up and was not exactly happy. I wonder why. I guess she got up on the wrong side of the chair?

Catching a Cat Nap
My daughter, Tiffany tried to put almost-3-years-old KC down for a nap before the party at their house but she refused to go to sleep. In the middle of the party they noticed that KC was awfully quiet on the chair in a rather strange position.

Cute pants!
ReplyDeleteJulia likes to stroke her stuffed penguin when she goes to sleep. The spot she constantly strokes is almost threadbare.
I don't remember either of my kids doing that.
Awwwwwwww too cute!!!!! It put me in mind of the day my Kate wouldn't take a nap in her bed and later fell asleep under the coffee table in our living room. It was just my luck that my mother stopped by unannounced and was positively horrified!!! I politely told her what happened and asked if it really mattered where she took her nap as long as she took it.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think kids know what's best better than we do.
I am so glad they thought to take a photo. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteWHERE did Tif get those pants?? LOL That view is just too cute.
ReplyDeletePoor little sweetie; but oh I laughed!
How adorable! Love the Hello Kitty britches!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA.... TOO CUTE! What a coincidence that she was wearing those Hello Kitty pants! That was perfect! Glad someone thought to take that picture!
ReplyDeleteI suppose she had a crick in her neck, and that's why she was cranky! LOL
When my daughter was about 4, she refused to go to bed and was standing by the couch by her dad when we noticed that she was asleep standing up! Ah... kids... Love 'em!
she looks so sweet but it's annoying when they wake up crouchy....
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Reminds me of the strange way my kids would find to sleep or their efforts of avoid sleeping. Love her pants! So glad you got a shot, just too cute to miss!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Kay!
Sylvia
What a sweet butt-shot!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so adorable ,and yes that pant of hers is so cute....small kids of her age don't enjoy parties as much(or may be just my kids),as soon as they get up they want some time alone with momma, they hate sharing at that moment(may be just mine).
ReplyDeleteAaaaahhhh! They are so gorgeous at this age (especially when they're asleep!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a riot, Kay. How KC could sleep in that position is a mystery, but I've seen many photos of children sleeping in the most gawd-awful positions.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and very funny. That first shot threw me until I started to read.
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable pictures!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just lovelittle girl clothes. I had so much fun buying cloethes for my daughter then my two sons. As it worked out, Julie only wanted to wear clothes like her brothers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute story! I wouldn't think that would be comfortable and I think I would wake up crabby too-LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the cute position ... the nifty pants ... and that wonderful surf photo in your header too.
Hugs and blessings,
That's a kid for you, always wanting to do things on their own schedule. Cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh da CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI'm linking my Saturday post about the Marathon to your Wednesday post, Kay!
Aloha, Neighbor & GOOD LUCK ART!!

Gosh these photos are so cute! So glad that someone thought to get photos! She must have been very tired to fall asleep in that position.
ReplyDeleteOh my LOL, too cute. I could post a very similar photo of me my mum took, only I had frilly knickers on, I might just have to scan and post it!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet photo...
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind comments everybody. I did ask Tiffany where those pants came from and she said they were hand-me-downs from a friend so she didn't know where they were bought.
ReplyDeleteWe talked to KC on Skype today and it was amazing. We can hardly believe that we were worried about her not saying very many words about 6 months ago. She was talking non-stop today. Just a steady stream... Oh my! It reminded us of her mother (at that age, I mean)!
I'll stop by your blog, Sarah to see you in your frilly knickers. LOL
