Helpful Idea from Myrtle #1

My dear Zumba friend, Myrtle sent me another couple of ideas that may prove helpful.  I especially like it for Hawaii since we have warmer weather here.  People on the mainland (especially up north) you can close your eyes for this one.

I've also seen how you can put frozen grapes into a cup of wine to keep it cool.  In fact, couldn't you add frozen grapes to any juice drink?  How does frozen grapes go with beer?

  1. Um, I'm afraid that beer with frozen grapes in it would not be very exciting to me, Kay. But the idea of putting a cup of ice into a pitcher of beer, one that you can remove, is a good idea! :-)

  2. Good idea for hot weather and beers, not that I drink beer often anyway.

  3. I don't drink, but you can use that idea for anything that needs cooling.

  5. Frozen grapes are a good warm weather treat all by themselves--like mini popsicles.

  6. Nobody in Germany would put frozen grapes in beer, I'm sure. Most Germans have a lot of experience when it comes to (drinking) beer. :-)

  8. Looks like Myrtle's buddies played with the plastic cups too much. Since I'd something stronger, I'd forget to take the ice cup out before pouring more beer. But the discovery looks like it would work. Don't prefer grapes in my beer, tho.

  11. "Warm" beer in Ireland or England does not feel too warm to me. It feels just right. My theory is that it is appropriate to the climate.

  13. I no longer drink beer but that would work just as well in a pitcher of tea. May give it a whirl this summer.

  17. We Michiganders, proud of being among the leaders in the beer-drinking world, are repelled by the idea of grapes in our lagers and pilseners.
