Many of you know I'm always on the look out for clever vanity license plates. Here's a few I've found recently that had me wondering.
MY DNA?
What in the world could this mean?
MYMYMY?
Sounds like a really fun person looking at life with humor.
MARKET?
Does he mean STOCK or SUPER?
I do see a lot of devout Christian vanity plates around Hawaii.
This person must like surfing. You can also see the sticker at the bottom left hand corner of the back window that says, "I TAKE CARE OF MY BEACHES."
Must be a responsible surfer.
I found this car at Zippy's where you can indeed find musubi (rice balls). Do you think it was the sushi chef's car?
And here is my favorite. OK. Everybody say, "Awwww..."
What would you choose for your vanity plate? It can't be more than 7 spaces; numbers, letters or both.
I think I like GR8TFUL. Art says he'll take HAPPY2.

ReplyDeletesince it's a hummer i am thinking stock.
ReplyDeletevery clever!! This would take some thought,,,
ReplyDeleteThe truck's name is already taken, but if it was available I would get, "Grumpy." (Grmpy, gumpy, et al...) LOL
ReplyDeleteThey are clever!!! I'm always amazed at what people put on their license plate!!
ReplyDeleteI like your Gr8ful........
ReplyDeleteI do like the last one. I like to travel with my friend Ann, who can translate the most obscure of them.
ReplyDeleteIn Missouri license plates can only have six characters, so I've always thought KATHYG would be appropriate.
ReplyDeleteYou know how small this island is, so I think it's strange that I never saw any of those plates. Many years ago, I made a list of all the states and kept it in my car. When I saw an out-of-state license plate I would check it off. I think I ended up missing two states . . . can't remember which two.
ReplyDeleteThere's actually quite a few of those vanity plates here on Oahu. There are a lot of clever ones. I wonder how much they cost.
DeleteIn Poland you canhave an unusual license plate but you must pay extra money for it. about 300 US dollars
ReplyDeleteAww, love that last one. Smart kid to do that.
ReplyDeleteneat plates, I am awful at choosing names.
ReplyDeleteI see the Jesus fish and a whole bunch of Christian themed bumper sticks down here. Including one that says "deVOTED to god" which scares me that so many people would be fine with theocracy, as long as it's their religion.
ReplyDeleteTo market to market to buy a fat pig?
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I would put on a car plate. I have seen GR8FUL though.
ReplyDeleteThe "my my my" could mean that she watches a true crime show on ID called Lt. Joe Kenda, Homicide Hunter. He recounts his most memorable crimes that he investigated and solved, some dating back to the 60s. Anyway one of his famous sayings is 'my my my' sarcastically. He has a dry wit and humor delivered straight face. It's very very popular show due to his dry wit and stories and they've made all kinds of merchandise, like t-shirts and mugs with his 'my my my' saying on it Oh heck he has an entire store online. http://store.discovery.com/homicide-hunter/index.php?v=investigation-discovery_shows_homicide-hunter
ReplyDeleteNo kidding? I've never heard of this show.
DeleteThose were fun. And you've got me thinking about what I would choose (except I would never spend the money!).
ReplyDeleteI was behind a really nice SUV today that I think must have been part of a divorce settlement. Its license plate said
ReplyDeleteWAS HIS.
Hi Peg! It's so nice to meet you!
DeleteNow that is too funny! Unless you were the husband, that is.
I would get hung up on this one. I would have to wonder about the principle of the thing. Then I couldn't think of anything cute or appropriate for my vanity plate!
ReplyDeleteST8LY (although ST8OFTHEART is what I'd really choose if I had enough room). :-)
ReplyDeleteYou could do SKYDVR
DeleteFun plates, easier to remember.
ReplyDeleteMy friend DeeDee has plates that say YESNDD.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not vain enough. I can't think of anything to put on a vanity plate.
That's actually quite clever.
Deleteon my plate holder it says....genealogists collect dead relatives
ReplyDeleteI've collected 800 photos os vanity plates. Hubby, with his sense of humour, bought me one! He's so bad.
ReplyDelete800???? Oh my gosh! That's amazing!!! I have a long way to go. I love your husband's sense of humor.
