I really LOVE hearing from you! However, if you sign in as ANONYMOUS, please don't forget to tell me who you are in the comment box by just writing your first name. We would all appreciate it if you kept your comment respectful and kind.
I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. Therefore, if your comment does not go up on an older (more than a day old) post, it's because I need to OK it first. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.

No clue! If you find out, be sure to share! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteIs it all the same paper and same edition?
ReplyDeleteHere the kids are putting locks on fences. Why I do not know.
so original love from Europe
ReplyDeleteindeed puzzling, no idea.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Something is going on and I'll bet you anything that YOU will find out, eventually. :-)
ReplyDeletewell, I wonder,, mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteMaybe a paperboy with very bad aim but a lot of determination
ReplyDeleteI don't think it means anything but if I see it around our neighborhood, I'll ask them, "wassup with the fence and newspapah?"
ReplyDeleteIt could even be that they think it looks kinda nice, like they invented a new art medium. It could also be that they didn't know what to do with the extra newspapers. Just recently, we started getting the Sunday newspaper in our driveway, and we don't even subscribe! A call to them verified that we get FREE Sunday newspapers for a few months and if we like it, we can start to subscribe. So now I have rolls of unopened newspapers in a house full of stuff. Maybe the people in that house also have newspapers that they never ordered and would read a section, roll it up, and then share it with their fence and neighborhood.
People are funny, makes for a smile.
There are kooks out there!
ReplyDeleteLooks like something one of my friends would do. She nailed old tennis shoes to the telephone pole in her yard. And hung chairs on her fence. Certainly offer room for thought.
ReplyDeleteI think now that you have made us all wonder, you have to go knock on their door and ask them!
ReplyDeleteNow you got me all curious about this. I know I stick flyers that I receive in the holes in my brick walls until the day I collect all of the flyers to send to the recycling bin. Perhaps they are trying to dry the rolled up newspapers before recycling them. If you ever find out can you please post the reason on your blog for all of us to know?
ReplyDeleteI wonder
ReplyDeleteKay, is it different homes that you've see them at, or is it just the one house?
ReplyDeleteIt's just this one house and it's been that way for a while. I thought it came down at one time, but then it was back again.
Deletecreative expression?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she's trying to scare away birds. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is better than what Riot Kitty saw in Portland. Dildos thrown over high lines all over town. Yikes!!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite odd. Thanks for the visit and comment.
ReplyDeleteKeeping birds away? Just a wild guess, because I've never before seen this type of thing!
ReplyDeleteOk, now you have to find out even if it requires a stake out or maybe just pin a note to the fence with the one word--WHY??
ReplyDeleteMonkey see....
ReplyDeleteI do hope you do some detective work and let us know!
ReplyDeleteI'll volunteer. What's their phone number? I'll give a call and ask why they're doing that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is to let us know they are "on the fence" about current affairs.
ReplyDeleteThat is so strange!!!
ReplyDeleteGuess it's not really a Hawaii thing, but I knew I saw this in Japan before, I think they are just prayers, http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/2503/2503,1105271888,2/stock-photo-osame-fuda-prayer-papers-at-a-temple-in-kyoto-japan-omikuji-94295.jpg
ReplyDeleteHello! Can you identify yourself with a first name please? Thank you very much for your comment and possible explanation. That is an intriguing theory. I've seen those omikuji boards in Japan myself. I think that's what it's called. I wonder......
