Our time with our son and his family flew by. We were amazed at how much they could pack in a day with a 17 month old toddler.
They just left to return to the East coast this afternoon and the house is awfully quiet, awfully empty.
When they first arrived, they asked if I would cut my grandson, JD's hair and teach them how to do it since he moved around so much. We've been so busy that we just didn't have time to get around to doing it until last night.
I had JD watch a Japanese children's program and used Art's nose hair cutting scissors which is smaller and has a smooth rounded end so it wouldn't poke him if he hit it. Thankfully JD was so mesmerized by the program that he hardly noticed my cutting his hair until he saw his locks on the floor. I did the best I could, as fast as I could and I must say he looks quite handsome. His parents were pleased.
We'll be very busy tomorrow cleaning the house, putting away baby equipment and toys and getting the house back to normal again. I'll need to get to work on our Holiday newsletters, thank you notes, etc.
But before I do that... I'm looking at all the photos of my beautiful grandson and remembering the fun times we all had together.

Awwww...how cute! What a smart grandma you are! So, does your grandson think he can only have it cut when he sees YOU? What a lovely reason!
