Dave has always been our family photographer.
He even came to Chicago with my brother to do the photo shoot for our daughter's wedding.
I really like how he's captured the pensive moment of Tiffany ready to embark on her new life. It still gives me pause to look at it.
When the whole family came to Hawaii to celebrate Art's 70th birthday in 2014, Dave took our official photo to mark the occasion.
We took photos indoor and outdoor.
Dave has also done some fun shots that still make us laugh.
These photos were all taken before JD was born so we wanted to take a photo with JD also.
Since our time was limited on this trip, we opted to have our photos taken indoors in a controlled environment with the least amount of running room. JD was still squirmy and excited about everything around him. We didn't think there would be any decent photos. Dave had an arsenal of toys and expressions that could make JD laugh. And here we thought it was only our granddaughter, KC who could do that.
Dave gave us the photos the next day and we were flabbergasted! The photos are priceless. Several made me teary. I would LOVE to show them to you, but both of my children do not want their children's photos floating in cyberspace until they're old enough to make that decision for themselves. Sigh...
Could you just take my word for it?
Thank you, Dave!!!

What great photos! You are so lucky to have Dave available to do your photos.
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning photo of Tiffany! The family photos are priceless!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and family!
ReplyDeleteWonderful things. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! He brings so much equipment and tools, what a professional!
ReplyDeleteYes, I can believe you, Kay!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a beautiful shot of Tiffany.
He is really good and quite the pro. That one of Tiffany is stunning. My sister has the touch and eye for our family.
ReplyDeleteI'll believe you. I can tell by your excitement that they were good.
ReplyDeleteCool. A family photographer! I don't think we've had a professional family photograph done since the kids were in middle school. We have done some of our own.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could show us that little DJ too, but I just know he is adorable!
how sweet, family photos captures so well this precious time together...
ReplyDeleteWhat delightful photos I know you'll treasure. FWIW I heard a news story today cautioning about not putting photos of fingers on net -- technology is so refined today, people can use such photos i.e. the classic peace sign, or maybe rabbit ears behind someone's head -- to obtain the person's fingerprints. Makes me wonder about eyes -- if we go to some sort of eye I.D.s in the future.
ReplyDeleteI always reduce the size of my photos so that you'd never be able to get a good enough resolution to get either a clear thumb print or retinal scan.
DeleteIt's amazing how much difference pro photos make.
ReplyDeleteI will take your word! How lucky to have a photographer in the family.
ReplyDeleteI laughed at the one where Art is making ears. Dave is an exceptionally gifted photographer! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you explained the concern ovr kids photos. I suppose I am naive and too trusting about the evil in the world.
ReplyDeleteI truly appreciate the way you do not show the faces of your grandchildren. Someday, when they say it is okay, you can post these pictures again. I am especially angry at the people who show pictures of their children naked from infants to toddlers on Facebook. Love the wonderful pictures Dave was able to capture of your family.
ReplyDeletewonderful photos kay!
ReplyDeletegreat family photos!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are professional quality. Really nice. And Tiffany is lovely in that picture.
ReplyDeleteActually Dave is a professional photographer. He's even taken photos of many of the politicians including the governor and his wife. They were gorgeous too.
DeleteGood for you!
