We would now be stopping in Busan, South Korea. We filled out Immigration paperwork to enter the city.
We took a shuttle into Busan.
We were told that the Jagalchi Fish Market was the place to explore.
We'd been there a couple of years ago on a tour so we thought mom would enjoy seeing it.

The shuttle bus took us into Busan with directions on where to go.
We found the Jagalchi Fish Market, only to learn it was closed on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday. This was the 3rd Tuesday.
Art talked to this fellow who was manning an Information booth. He actually walked us to another fish market where he said we could buy some dried seafood.
We went back to the ship and found a plate of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. Art took a walk around the massive ship. We were told there were 3,000 passengers on this cruise.
Dinner that evening had escargot and lobster. Mom has developed a liking for those salty, buttery snails. Me too.
It was the 2nd of 2 Formal nights. I felt naked without my travel vest. Mom has always loved that muumuu that a good friend of hers had made for her many, many years ago.
We heard urgent announcements that several passengers had not passed through customs procedures on the ship and we could not depart Busan until this was complied with. After a while, their names were called and we could finally be on our way.
The best part of the day was the Bravo! show that evening. We all loved the musical performances and obviously the rest of the audience did too.
That was nice of the fellow giving you instructions to another fish market, the food is all so beautifully presented, looks amazing. Your mum looks beautiful in her mumu, you and Art look very nice as well, even without your travel vest 😉 , such a wonderful trip!

ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't try to pack fresh fish in your luggage! You all look very lovely, and I'm betting you sat for dinner as early as permitted. Seems the ship must have a million waiters, busboys and dishwashers for all the plates being used. You might have to go on the Disney cruises with your grandkids! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteEscargot huh. I have never tried them but I just can't get myself to even consider eating them. I would have gone with the lobster. ;-)
