Keeping Marriage Interesting

One morning I left Art reading the paper and went upstairs to our bathroom on the 2nd floor.

While I was sitting and getting on with my business I looked at the Apple Watch and tapped on it. I saw the camera icon. I had never tried taking a photo with my Apple Watch before. (It can actually activate the camera on my iPhone from a distance which is useful for group selfies.)

Granted, I was rather far away from my iphone which I'd left on its stand on the kitchen table.

So.... I thought I'd try taking a photo with my Apple Watch.

I clicked the icon and my watch indicated it took the photo.

Later, as I was washing my hands, I heard Art pounding up the stairs.

A shocked expression on his face, Art stammered, "Your phone just went off.  On its own. I didn't touch it."

I'm sorry. I laughed. I explained what I did.

Needless to say, Art saw the humor in the situation.

You can tell I do try to keep our marriage interesting.

  1. I imagine Art thought your phone had been hacked! Looks like he was hard at work on a crossword puzzle. Do you have two microwaves on your counter?

    1. Oh yes, he absolutely thought the iPhone was hacked or had a mind of its own. He likes to read the paper cover to cover and do the jumble. That’s a microwave on the right and toaster/oven on the left. We use them more than the regular oven.

  2. That’s funny. Just told Sue about it as she has an Iwatch. She’s used it as a remote control but never from far away.

  3. That's both interesting and a little bit creepy.

  4. That's a funny story but I am not sure i would want that kind of technology in my house.

  5. My nephew has an Apple Watch, too. We all posed as a group for a photo with the iPhone pointed at us and he tapped his remote and the photo was taken. Awesome technology!

  6. That's so funny and it's exactly what I would have thought too, hacked. I am so behind.

  7. That made me laugh out loud also. You are really becoming a techie.

  8. So art will have to watch for your tricks after this.

  9. A little scary indeed. What if he was doing something private, like picking his nose? I suspect you wouldn't have shown that to your blogging friends. That would be very hard on a marriage. :-)

  10. You spooked him! What a hoot. Maybe you can program a loving message next time? Too much technology for me. Linda in Kansas

  11. You are interesting! And Art's response shows how wary we are of these new creatures in our homes with their new capabilities.

  12. That sounds like a feature you might have to be careful with. Kind of like spying!

  13. I told my mom's GHome device that her cat's name was Danny and I told her to ask it what her cat's name was. Her eyes went wide untiL I told her it was me.

  14. That is quite amusing. You are an amazing pair. We're still fighting colds. It's not so amusing. We are on the upturn.
I can get my phone to take a photo if I say 'cheese', it's really weird!

  16. This is a good one, Kay. It gave me a good laugh...reminded me of some convos PaPa-Dellgirl and I have had about why I always take my iPhone when I leave the room.

It's crazy but with two adult kids out and about around Houston all day, I don't want to miss their texts or calls...even for a minute.
