Blog Hiatus

Yes, it's true. No sooner when I got caught up with my routine at home in Hawaii than we need to leave for Illinois again. My granddaughter's dance ensemble is having a winter performance.

KC has become such a graceful dancer and we haven't been able to attend any of her shows. In fact, there is a friend who has been standing in for us as "surrogate grandparents."

I've been wanting so much to see a performance instead of just a video all these years and this time, we're going to do it!

Despite the snow and freezing cold we are going back to Illinois and I can hardly wait to see her, our daughter and techie son-in-law as well as many of our dearest friends.

I shall be back to blogging in a couple of weeks. Until then, stay warm, stay happy.

  1. Have a great safe most enjoyable trip despite the snow, cold, ice -- at least you know what you're getting into weather-wise and probably still have winter clothes. I always regretted being unable to travel to Honolulu years ago to see my nephew dance with ballet troupe there and following east coast performances. Years later could go with younger granddaughter to her dance classes on the east coast, but missed some of her performances.

  2. It will be wonderful to see your grand daughter dance on the stage in person. I hope the weather will behave itself while you are in Illinois. Here in Missouri we have been having some sort of snow or winter mix come through about once a week. It is getting old. It would be nice if some of the winter weather could veer away from Illinois while you are there. Enjoy your visit with your family and have a safe trip.
