When our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter visited in the past, my granddaughter KC would leave little Post-It-Note messages around the house for us to find.
We found messages inside of drawers, in medicine cabinets, on our nightstands, closet shelves, etc. There were a very few we didn't find for months.
They were all such loving messages that I've kept them all. These were some of the ones I saved throughout the years.
It's been three years since I've seen her so we figured she would have forgotten how she used to do this.
Nope.
After they left to return home to Illinois, I found this note to let us know there are 18 of them around our house.
KC is 15 now and a lot sneakier smarter than the rest of us. We have both intermittently looked for the rest of the notes. There are 15 more of them.... somewhere. 😆
Where could they be? They're not in the sort of places she put them before. How many hiding places could there possibly be?
Hmmmm.... 🤔

When I was not looking for her notes and almost given up...
I found this on the bookshelf. I could swear I'd already looked on every shelf.
But of course, I had not found them in order.

ReplyDeleteWe love you, KC! Would you believe Grandpa found one from 2019 in the box where he keeps his hearing aids. You are even trickier this year. We still have 8 more to find and I can't imagine where you put them. But don't you worry, we're determined to find them before your next visit.

ReplyDeleteKC was kind and told me it's all on the 2nd floor. I did definitely look in the sock and t-shirt drawers. She certainly has grown even sneakier in her old (15) age.

DeleteWhat a fun thing to do! I have left a few notes in the past but not of this magnitude. I used to leave a few notes with clues to the next one for my kids to have a short scavenger hunt. They always loved it. I have been the recipient of a note or two before and it always brightens your day when you find one.
