Home Cyber Cafe

Are we technologically inclined or what? One minute I can't even get to the computer and suddenly we had three lined up downstairs. Actually, one belongs to our son-in-law who is a computer (geek, nerd, extremely gifted computer expert), one is our old (ready to die) laptop, and the last is a new one that our son-in-law helped Art purchase and set up. We still have two of them set up downstairs so I can use one even when KC is napping in my office. Ed left today to return to Chicago but Tif and KC will stay with us for another month since Ed is going to be out of town with his computer job 90% of the time.

  2. Computers, computers everywhere. My home would look the same if my sons were ever there at the same time. As it is, even the kids want to use them too. Just wait, K.C. will want a laptop before very long.

  3. Gosh, Lin, I've barely got her accustomed to the VCR. I've been showing her how wonderful it is that I can communicate with my cousins in Japan within the wink of an eye and I told her she could do the same with my aunt. However, she says writing letters is much more fun for her and is more pleasurable. Ah well...

  4. Kay, isn't it funny how people are. You haven't been to the Waimea since your kids were small, and we grew up just 3 hours away from The Grand Canyon and only went once in 20 years. We take for granted the things that are nearby.

  5. Hi Kay..You do have a computer literate house. My MIL wants a computer like her friends and her sons don't think she could handle it. I think it would be good for her as her grandchildren might send her an e-mail over a phone call, but the son who lives closest to her has already had lots of fun with setting up her cell phone. So I don't see it happening.

How nice that you will have another month with your daughter and granddaughter. You must have done something right as she wants to come and spend time with you!

  6. WOW!! So many computers. I dread the day that I'm going to have to think about the purchase of another computer! I sort of get in a comfort zone and don't want to get kicked out of it. My hubby has absolutely NO appreciation for modern technology, so when this one bifs...he is not going to want to drop cash on a new one. Guess I'd better start putting a few pennies aside, huh?

Lucky you! A whole month with your daughter and her little one. I am so happy for you!! And just a tad envious... okay, I fess up. I'm a WHOLE LOT envious!

    ENJOY!!

  7. I'm sure your mother would love a computer once she got used to it and was able to have so much more instant contact. Mind you, I'm sorry to see the end of letter writing, emails leave nothing behind for our descendants to see. We often have Computer Club here, when number one son visits. He helps us out with any problems on our laptops and often has his going as well. Great fun.

  9. I had to chuckle. Right now I'm on our desk top and my daughter is next to me on their laptop. We don't have wireless, but the neighbor is unwittingly supplying the connection. Lots of computer fun going on around here too.
