Whenever we buy a bedsheet or blanket, we hate throwing away the sturdy plastic bag it comes in. They even come with a zipper. Therefore, I keep it and then it sits in the closet. When we bought our latest bedsheet, I thought of a travel solution that could work.
And yes, sure enough... our shoes fit in them very nicely.

I just saw another way I've used the bags. I used them to store our grandkids beach toys.

I do the very same thing,, I have also cut them to make appliance covers,,
ReplyDelete( for my sewing machine, and for our printer ) , I also used one that when cut to fit lined a beach bag really well, I secured it all around the opening with glue from the glue gun,, its amazing how strong the plastic is in these zippered bags,, thanks Kay,,
I also hate to throw those bags away. I use them to store things in my Florida place -- to keep blankets and beach towels that are stored while I am not here.

ReplyDeletei have thrown so many away and i always feel horrible doing it - but i say, how many things can you save? what a great use for them, i won't be throwing them out any more!!! when not in use, they can be stored in an empty suitcase!! win - win!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Over the years I've put other sheets in them with little signs in those slots. Green sheets, king sized, two pillow cases...that sort of thing. Right now I am short one bag.

ReplyDeleteIt's hard having packaging like this, and figuring out a repurposing. Good for you. I feel guilty throwing the out, but imagine my daughter having to dump it when I die!
