It was freezing when we got up in Hawaii on Friday morning.
Art sent a photo to our daughter in Chicago. It not all that often that we get hit with 60 degrees in our area. It was also quite windy so brrrrr.... I'm sure the windchill made it much worse.
Art sent this photo of the outdoor thermometer to our daughter.
She sent this photo telling us it was a balmy 28 degrees in Chicago.
Schools in the area were designated a Snow Day since they got between 6 to 12 inches of snow.
I can see that my granddaughter was having a ton of fun. She did tell me before that winter was her favorite season.
In a handful of years she's going to have to drive in this weather. I wonder if it will still be her favorite season.

ReplyDeleteOur weather station is registering 32 degrees here in Seattle at 8:00 AM this morning. No snow, but brilliant sunshine. I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteWeather is certainly relative, isn't it.
Cute your thermometer.
ReplyDeleteYes, 59 here today with showers. I wouldn't trade living here for anything.
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter claims winter is her favorite. But, she won't drive in it.
ReplyDeleteBRRRRR!
ReplyDeleteYou have that nice tropical thin blood which is sensitive to cold--er--cool. It is a real thing.
ReplyDelete60?! Oh you poor dears.
ReplyDeleteUh, yea, I'm putting on a sweater over my long-sleeve waffle weave shirt when it's 68 degrees in my son's night-time cold temp house! Too much snow in Chicago! I notice the vertical wire on the fire hydrant to keep plows from plowing down the hydrant! Too cold. I like summer. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteWe are having hot weather in Florida. I have not contacted anyone in VT lately because they haven't seemed all that happy to hear from me and get the FL weather report.
ReplyDeletePoor you and 60 degrees! My daughter told me the same thing about Chicago weather. It's supposed to get mild there this week.
