If somebody told me in 2008 that I would be writing this blog for 10 years I would have laughed and said, "No way." Yet, here I am thanks to all of you through the years. It's boggling my mind to think I've written 2,908 blog posts. Sheesh!
This seems to be the Year of 10. It was also the 10th Aloha Run/Walk and the 10th year that we've been back living in Hawaii.
Writing this blog has often motivated us to do things we might not have done. We've gone to different island activities, looked for interesting things to photograph, and researched topics that I could share.
And through it all, the engine that kept me going was your friendship, feedback, encouragement and support.
Thank you, arigato gozaimasu and mahalo nui loa to you all. You are the best!
And to Dina of Jerusalem Hills Daily Photo, I would like to extend an extra special thank you for getting me started and encouraging me through the 10 years that we have been doing this.

Congratulations! I too started blogging in 2008. I had to look back to the date - July 16th. My daughter who was in China at the time was my only commenter. My other daughter was the one who inspired me to do it and was my resource as I learned since she had a blog. I know I haven't been as prolific as you have as I look back at my list.
ReplyDeleteHappy 10th Blogaversary! This month I come up on my 13th. I wonder if that will be unlucky.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I find it a nice start to my day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations & Happy 10th Anniversary to your blog..mine just passed the 10th year on Dec'17. Nice to know you here.
ReplyDeleteWow, ten years! I started mine in February 2009, so I'm a year behind you. I feel so close to many of my blogging friends, and you are one I have actually met in person! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have been blogging for at least ten years and maybe even longer. I will have to check back on my record. I use my blog to keep my kids informed about what is going on in my life. And I use it for a kind of journal.
ReplyDeleteTen years, and you have remained very consistent, too. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Kay! Your blog is very interesting and it's quite an achievement to have been as faithful as you have!
ReplyDeleteI missed my 10th bloganniversary it was last Nov. Thanks for your early support of my offerings. It's been fun taking this journey through cyberspace together....
ReplyDeleteIt is rare for one to make it this far
ReplyDeleteYou've ticked every box Kay, especially the friendships and new roads. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing. You stir me on to put a word or two here also. You cheer me on when I start my day with you every morning. Your adventures broaden my world. This is a special place you have created.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Kay!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kay! It's so meaningful to be able to feel in touch with you, Art, and Mom (Aloha, Dennis)
ReplyDeleteHappy first decade of blogging, Kay!! On to the next!
ReplyDeleteYeah, you and I started our blogs just a few days apart. I like how you say, "Writing this blog has often motivated us to do things we might not have done. We've gone to different island activities, looked for interesting things to photograph, and researched topics that I could share." It has been the same for me. It means EVERYONE should write a blog. :)
congrats on 10 years, I should check how long I've been doing this.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. You write an interesting blog and give us a good picture of Island life.
ReplyDeleteIf it has been ten years for you, then I guess my tenth is coming up soon too. Thanks for blogging and for discovering me. I has always amazed me how a group of fairly like minded women, and a man or two, have coalesced into a blogging family.
ReplyDeleteHappy 10 Candles to you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! So glad to have met you through your blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a noteworthy anniversary.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog anniversary, Kay! 10 years, funny how time slips away! (Ha, ha that was the title of the post I just did!)
ReplyDeleteGuess what, I am almost at 1000 posts myself. I started in August of 2011. Wow, I feel a bit like a crazy Aunt locked in the attic, typing away!
Congrats to Kay, Art, and Mom, too! Mahalo for sharing your unique and daily lives with us, "stuck on the mainland." It's nice to learn new culture information and history from folks who've directly lived it. Keep staying strong. Gentle hugs to all. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thank you very much. I have so enjoyed writing this blog which has enabled me to meet such wonderful, knowledgeable and interesting people like you and all my blogger buddies.
DeleteCongratulations! You are completely unique in the blogging world. Not only for the view of Hawaii, but for the everyday things you write about. Musings, indeed! I love coming here, and I am so fond of you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I am deeply touched by your kind words, Nan.
DeleteHappy 10th Blogaversary, dear Kay! I enjoy reading your wonderful blog on a daily basis. Thank you for sharing your unique life with us. Warm regards!
