We have had one of the busiest, most eventful spring and summers we've ever experienced which I will be recording in future posts. It was full of loss, travel, visiting with family and friends, injury, illness and recovery. Hopefully things will now settle down.
In a nutshell:
March-April: We were on a Viking Riverboat Rhine riverboat cruise of Germany, Hungary, Austria and the Netherlands.
May: We flew to Tokyo to attend the funeral of our dear friend, "Sam."
May: I broke my arm the day after our return from Tokyo.
June: Our daughter and family arrived in Hawaii.
June: We went to Tokyo again for 10 days with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. This had been planned a couple of months before by our son-in-law.
July: We left for Illinois, spent one day there and flew out to Maryland with our daughter, Tiffany and granddaughter.
August: Tiffany wrenched her back lifting her baby nephew, Art caught a cold and we flew back to Illinois. Back in Illinois, we visited with long time friends and neighbors for a couple of weeks before going home again.
We're now hoping for a bit of time to recuperate from so much that has happened in the last few months.
And now... what to write about... where to begin...

Wow! You have been on the go and much of that last half you were dealing with your bone break. You have stamina!
ReplyDeleteYes, this has been a very intense period in the life of your family and you, especially, Kay. Time to rest and recuperate, for sure! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh no about Tiffany's back. You have been so busy.
ReplyDeleteYou are frequent flyers for sure.
ReplyDeletePlease take a moment and tell us how your arm and shoulder are doing. That's a good place to start. :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll certainly had an interesting year
ReplyDeleteI read your blog everyday. You have such an interesting life.
ReplyDeleteRest and recover, you two! Let us know what's going on on O`ahu. Are you going to a Bon Dance?
ReplyDeleteBusy and painful. Hope the arm is doing much better but you definitely didn't let it slow you down.
ReplyDeleteWow. Well ups and downs make for the stuff of blog posts anyway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the overview. I knew you were coming and going but I lost track. I hope everyone is recovering.
ReplyDeleteAs for where to begin with posts, Don’t sweat it. Overcome your need for concrete sequential orderliness and pick and choose the good stuff. 😋
You're absolutely right. You know me too well. All the posts I scheduled beforehand is over so now I'm going real time and it's hard since I'm also trying to finish a photobook for my granddaughter. I'll have to just write whatever gets my attention for a while before I do my sequential stuff because I do want to record this crazy summer for my own memory as well. LOL
Deletelife is always full of little surprises it seems...
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my photobooks, too!
ReplyDeleteI think you jinxed it with this post. Now, a hurricane! :-)
