Christine of Christine's Blog wrote a post in January about a Lindt dark chocolate bar that she said was "to die for."
After seeing her photos of the dark chocolate bar with the soft truffle center I mentioned it to my daughter.
I try not to eat much candy but gosh! This looked so good.
When we got to Illinois in February, Tiffany surprised me with a little bag of these dark chocolate Lindt Lindors. She said she'd gone to the Lindt Chocolate Store and was told that the Lindor bars are not on sale in the U.S.
She also learned that Lindt is the brand. Lindor is a type of candy that has a chocolate shell with a truffle center. The U.S. has the Lindor balls, but not the bars.
I saved the Lindors to bring home to Hawaii to savor but found that the centers had melted in our warm weather. Tiffany suggested my putting them in the refrigerator which did harden the center. And yes, it was scrumptious just as Christine said.

We usually have a few during the Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteThese are very yummy, yes. I am not a huge chocolate eater, but when the craving does come it is so darn insistent and it has to be really good chocolate.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to try them, the bars are also tough to find here so I ended up getting the balls too. I think I got the bar in a gift basket.
ReplyDeleteThere is an aide at Columbia who loves these. I found an Easter egg version at Target and will add it to the treat tray I will provide to the front office in a few weeks. I usually use Sees Candies, but these Lindors will make a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteYummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteNever had either. Think I will plop them in my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the difference between Lindt and Lindor. Thanks for the info. Gotta know this stuff when it comes to one of my basic food groups - Chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI need some chocolate right now! And it's al your fault. :-)
ReplyDeleteTo die for covers it.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are best kept in the fridge! Ask me how I know (wink, wink).
ReplyDeleteThe red one is my fav lindor :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad they don't make sugar free for diabetics~
