I think it all began in Illinois this February when we went there to see our granddaughter perform in a dance show.
Our daughter, Tiffany, Art and KC began working on a 4 D puzzle which I didn't participate in at first. I was never a true puzzle person.
Eventually, I did help a little and discovered that the 4D puzzle had 3 levels to complete.
It took 3 days to finish it.
After COVID-19 took hold in earnest and we were locked down, Tif sent a 1,200 piece puzzle to Art in April. He began fitting it together on April 28 and finished on May 17th.
To prolong the enjoyment, he'd worked on the puzzle for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Eventually, he went down to 1 hour for each session. (He never did convince mom to help him.)
So.... What to do with the finished puzzle?
Well, after staring and admiring the completed masterpiece for a couple of days, he wrapped it up and sent it to Tiffany who is now working on it with KC in Illinois. I think.
A week later, look what we got in the mail. Yup. Tiffany sent the 1,000 piece puzzle she had completed.
Ummmm.... And you'll never guess what I got Art for Father's Day.

Quite the puzzle for those who like them. We are not into jigsaws hereabouts.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done puzzles since church camp a couple of years ago. When I was young...living at home, mom and I always had one going. I should pick one up at the senior center tomorrow when I go to game day. They always have several and they are free.

DeleteHave you ordered from this company before? My son-in-law is saying he can't find reviews on this company and is worried it could be a scam. He advised us to keep a look-out on our credit card to make sure it isn't suddenly being used for things we didn't order. I hate to be suspicious of everything, but these days... you just don't know.

Hi De... Yes, we did get our puzzles. What a relief. They aren’t as well made as the Ravensburg, but he’ll have fun working on them. However, would you believe our son and daughter gave him a BUNCH of puzzles for his birthday. Good grief! What an assortment from photo puzzles from Shutterfly to an actual globe puzzle. I don’t know how that would work and then..... would you believe?..... A 3,000 piece puzzle! Yikes!

ReplyDeleteThere is something about doing puzzles that is so satisfying. Before I can start one I have to clean up my space for a table. But my focus is on making a mask pattern right now. Maybe I should stop tweaking and do a puzzle instead.

DeleteI have been getting outside or dong art projects.Puzzles are not my thing. It didn't help that my college roommate had a small jigsaw puzzle that was supposed to indicate IQ by the speed of completion. I couldn't do it and her 8 year old sister could whip it together in about three minutes.
