Yay! My Ballot is Confirmed!

We got our ballots and mailed them in right away last week.

Then I remembered Doug of Apache Dug's Teepee saying that he was able to get an update on his ballot which confirmed that it had been received.

I was never worried about this before. Mail-In ballots have been available for a while in Hawaii so I assumed they had it under control.

Still, Art said I have a signature that is sometimes not consistent so it got me worried. It wasn't that easy to find the right website to check the status of my ballot. However, I found the information I needed on KITV's website.

Here's a link for anybody in Hawaii to find out if your ballot has been received.

I believe all the states are supposed to have something like this.

Yay!

I'll be counted!

Thank goodness!

  2. Wow I'm honored to be mentioned on Musings, thanks Kay! And yay for your vote being counted! This was my first time doing mail-in voting,to be honest I wasn't intending to until I learned (from my governor on tv) that most states provide ballot tracking now. Of all the times I've voted in the last 40 years... this one feels the most important!

  4. LOVE the virtual "I voted" sticker! Will check on tracking in Kansas. I can confirm that my request for a ballot is recorded. They're supposed to mail out ballots to us on Oct. 14. Gonna take mine directly to the election office drop box. Linda in Kansas

  5. Congrats on the verification. Love that capability. I turned in my ballot Friday but it hasn't shown up on the site yet. Today being a holiday, I will give them another day before I check in person.

  6. Even though we handed ours in, I did check that it had been accepted and it had. Relief to have that done.

  7. We've done mail in for many years here in WA, but I had never known about the vote verification. I will make sure to do it this time. Who knew we would be this nervous about our votes counting?

  9. Well, that is really good to know about, thanks for mentioning it. In today's climate it is yet another thing to worry about.

  10. I have never tracked my ballot before either, but there is just something about this election that makes us want to take every precaution.

I really LOVE hearing from you! However, if you sign in as ANONYMOUS, please don't forget to tell me who you are in the comment box by just writing your first name. We would all appreciate it if you kept your comment respectful and kind.

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. Therefore, if your comment does not go up on an older (more than a day old) post, it's because I need to OK it first. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
