After we were all forced onto the new Blogspot format (system, operation, structure... whatever) I noticed that people were putting emojis onto their posts.
That looked like so much fun but I didn't know how. Aha! Then I located it. Yay! 😁

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. Therefore, if your comment does not go up on an older (more than a day old) post, it's because I need to OK it first. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
Yes, but I will use this sparingly. I do use them more in texting.

ReplyDeleteI don't really like this google format. I was perfectly happy with the way it has been handled all these years. I was afraid I was going to lose all the posts I have made since 2008. Luckily that didn't happen.

ReplyDeleteMy gripe is that I'm adding pictures and text to my post, sometimes things get wonky. I used to switch from "compose" mode to "edit html" mode and it was a fairly easy process to figure out what was messing things up and correcting it. Now with new blogger, they toss everything in the "edit html" mode into one giant lump of stuff that makes my eyes ache trying to sort through and get things corrected. It is easier to just start the post over and try and be more careful when adding things.

ReplyDeleteI've been on Blogger all these years (since 2006) and never used Blogger's Editor! I use an old offline tool called Windows Live Writer. It's always had emojis, but being a manly man, well... ;^)

DeleteA problem I have is that some people using Blogger can answer questions asked by readers in their comments, and the answer can be right in the comment section. I've never found out how to get that feature. This was even before the big changeovers.
ReplyDeleteIt's because I use the Embedded format for comments. You have to look in your Settings under Comment Location. Each type of comment format has a different ability. At least that's what I think anyway.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if typepad has emojis. If I edit my post with my phone, I can add them. I like that they add a feeling to the words. Now I need to investigate this further. :)
