Irritating Spam Text Messages

I've been pretty safe from weird spam text messages on my iPhone, but I suddenly got hit with one everyday that totally irritated me. I'm assuming it came from China.

I tried erasing it.

Then I reported it to Apple as junk text.

If you haven’t opened the message: Swipe left on the message, tap the Delete buttonthen tap Delete and Report Junk.

I did all that but it didn't stop. In fact I suddenly started getting these text messages almost every hour.

Arrrgghhh...

You can find a solution for anything online so I looked up what to do.

Yay!

Here it is and it worked. I haven't gotten anymore of those messages. I wondered what it said though.

You know what? I just used my Google Translate app and it told me what the message was!!!

Seriously?

I thought it was going to tell me to vote for Trump. Then again, it would have to be in Russian. 😂

  1. Thanks for both the practical information and the truth/laugh at the end! I have 2 text spam "correspondents" that I am going to try this exorcism on!

  7. Maybe that taxi for tomorrow is going to take you to a Trump rally! Cute language possibilities! I just delete weird stuff without reporting it. Guess I'm afraid just sending the report info could cause more of an "infection" to still in my PC's innards. Linda in Kansas

  10. I don't answer anything unless I know the number.

  11. Don't these people have better things to do? Scammers are the pits.

  14. Funny!! You could probably get the 'Vote' message in Chinese as well, at least on this side of the border.

  15. Ha!!!! I've been getting odd messages as well, but did not know that I could block them too.

I do remember one memorable occasion when suddenly, my cell phone was simply inundated with texts from Ireland, every one of them expressing their condolences.

I really LOVE hearing from you! However, if you sign in as ANONYMOUS, please don't forget to tell me who you are in the comment box by just writing your first name. We would all appreciate it if you kept your comment respectful and kind.

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. Therefore, if your comment does not go up on an older (more than a day old) post, it's because I need to OK it first. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
