I've been pretty safe from weird spam text messages on my iPhone, but I suddenly got hit with one everyday that totally irritated me. I'm assuming it came from China.
I tried erasing it.
Then I reported it to Apple as junk text.
If you haven’t opened the message: Swipe left on the message, tap
, then tap Delete and Report Junk.
I did all that but it didn't stop. In fact I suddenly started getting these text messages almost every hour.
Arrrgghhh...
You can find a solution for anything online so I looked up what to do.
Yay!

Thanks for both the practical information and the truth/laugh at the end! I have 2 text spam "correspondents" that I am going to try this exorcism on!

Good luck, Ceci! Those spam things are so irritating.
DeleteYou ended that well, with a bit of a zinger. 😊
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the taxi would have taken you! 😎
ReplyDeleteWill I remember your solution when I want to block a number? I'm sure I won't :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are funny! Good work, though!
ReplyDeleteYes you did end that with a good zinger. It made the whole post enjoyable :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe that taxi for tomorrow is going to take you to a Trump rally! Cute language possibilities! I just delete weird stuff without reporting it. Guess I'm afraid just sending the report info could cause more of an "infection" to still in my PC's innards. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteGreat you figured out how to block that text.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one! I admire your determination to block texts; I usually give up and simply delete them.
ReplyDeleteI don't answer anything unless I know the number.
ReplyDeleteDon't these people have better things to do? Scammers are the pits.
ReplyDeleteI've been dealing with scam texts too much lately. So satisfying to block them.
ReplyDeleteI block callers on my iphone all the time. Thanks for letting me know I can do it on messages too.
ReplyDeleteFunny!! You could probably get the 'Vote' message in Chinese as well, at least on this side of the border.
ReplyDeleteHa!!!! I've been getting odd messages as well, but did not know that I could block them too.
ReplyDeleteI do remember one memorable occasion when suddenly, my cell phone was simply inundated with texts from Ireland, every one of them expressing their condolences.
