The Calm Before the Hurricane?

We've been warned that Hurricane Felicia might be getting close to the islands. I've noticed people at stores stocking up on water and canned goods. Ever since Hurricane Iniki hit in 1992 people are wary of storms. Weather forecasters say that Felicia appears to be veering away so we're hopeful. Still... I can't help noticing the strong winds that are starting up this afternoon. We're hoping that by the time Felicia comes our way it will be a tropical storm tomorrow or Monday.

  1. Good luck! When I saw the news last night, I thought of you, and I'm glad it doesn't seem to be going your way. You've got a beautiful sky from it anyhow, if that photo is from today.

  2. At least you are in the high ground ;-)
Here in the harbor at Waikiki we're especially interested in what may come. Iniki was close enough!
But it seems we will be OK according to NOAA. Check out this site: (Cut & Paste in your browser)

  6. Oi Kay, you don't need a hurricane right now! Cloudia's post about it was scary. I pray it will go somewhere else.

  7. Hope Hawaii managed to avoid the hurricane, Kay. We were on Kauai soon after Iniki and saw the damage it had caused.

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
