My line dancing teacher, Jan just sent me this forwarded video that I found pretty interesting. It explains how you should be adjusting the mirrors in your car. Art has often complained about blind spots and this method seems to take care of that.
Safe driving, everybody! I guess it's just one more little thing to fix for 2010.

interesting my husband adjusts the mirrors that way when he drives but I can't drive that way so depending on who is driving is where the mirrors are. I always check by looking in the blind spot. Too many years of driving the other way to change.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea. I think most of us do this anyway after many years of experience or trial and error. I know with the mirrors on our Toyota we can move the mirrors while looking out of them while driving down the road. The problem he doesn't address is short people versus tall people and both drive the same car. My wife is under 5 feet tall and her mirrors must be adjusted totally different from mine as I was 6 feet tall. The electric mirrors are wonderful for us.

ReplyDeleteI laughed to see your post title Kay, because my husband works (or did until he was laid off) in a factory that makes the tiny engines inside wing mirrors so that you can adjust them from inside the car. Not a great economy for automotive factories however -- it's been almost a year and no word of going back. I wish they'd just give him a severance package and say goodbye!
