When this gets posted Art and I will be just returning from a month's visit to Illinois where we would have visited our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
However, I'm writing this as we are preparing to leave. Mom will not be coming and my brother will be watching out for her.
As you know we don't like to advertise when we're going to be leaving on a trip so I write posts in advance to go up as scheduled.
In the next few days I'll be writing posts about our adventures back to our other "home" in Illinois. It warmed my heart to hear KC say on the phone, "Grandpa and Grandma, I can't wait for you to get here!"
As excited as we are to be going there, we're trying to get everything cleaned, fixed and stocked for mom here and that has us in a flurry.
She's told us not to worry about her because she has so many people here who will be taking care of her. She's also laughed and said not to worry about the cartons of ice cream in the freezer that she'll finish for us.
About that... I'm not worried at all.

ReplyDeleteYes, I like that rose. I've been cropping my flowers tightly, deepening the contrast, and using the dodge and darken tools to make it even more powerful. :)

ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great trip. Grand kids can really warm the heart and I am sure you had many friends and family to keep you busy. I chuckled about the ice cream. My mom would have gladly consumed nothing else in her later life.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're home. Now I can find out about the trip I knew you were on. Your absence posts were interesting - I am amazed that you can get all of those posts done ahead of time, and posted automatically - but I like knowing I am "talking" to you live.
