Seriously?!?

My son-in-law sent me a photo that he thought might give me a chuckle. I thought it was a joke so I googled it.


Oh my gosh! It's true!

Apparently, Whole Foods has gotten quite a bit of flack over it and has pulled it off the shelves saying it was a mistake.

It sure was!

    I saw these in our Fresno store. Thought it odd, but lots of things Whole Foods does is odd so I just passed on by. There is always someone who will buy these things.

    Good Lord! A couple of pieces of asparagus in water and charging $6 for it? They should be ashamed. Glad to hear they are pulling them off the shelves. :-)

    They are going too far with this marketing tactic, to the point of being a laughing stock. This sure will damage their credibility.

    Whole Foods makes a lot of money on food fads, most of which are not much more than gimmicks. They jumped the shark on this one.

    It does seem highly ridiculous but I wonder if any of them sold? I occasionally go into Whole Foods for a look around but haven't lately. I used to go in there just to look at their ostrich and emu eggs, and always came out with a few groceries but never an ostrich or emu egg.

    Doesn't seem so strange when considering the millions who lay out a couple of bucks for bottled water when it is essentially the same stuff coming out of their taps at home.

    I know Whole Foods is really popular, but I never gone. I was curious until I learned that the bigwig behind it was a big Libertarian Conservative. I also learned the owner of Sears/Kmart is a big Ayn Rand philosopher, though I don't think that's working out too well for him. Those two companies are shells of their former selves
