Back to Hawaii

We got up at 4:15 and was out the door by 5:00 for the flight out of O'Hare Airport to return to Hawaii. There was one stop over in Phoenix and traveling was fine since we were equipped with our MacBook Air, iPad, and Kindle.

There was only one problem. On the second leg of our flight I wasn't feeling well. My stomach started to rebel for some reason and I was exhausted. (And I'm still sick.)

Our friends, Morris and Jane met us at Honolulu International Airport to drive us home.

It was good to be home.

Yes, Hawaii is home.

However, Chicago will always be home too.

POSTSCRIPT: Doggone it! Hawaiiantel came to repair our Internet line and now it's completely dead!  I'm writing this postscript with my cellphone. They're coming on Sunday!

  1. Yeah, Hawaii is home for me, too. It took several years for me to stop pining for New York, though.

  2. Sunday!? Who works on Sunday? Hope they get you reinstalled and back on line. However, I do many of my blog posts on my iPhone, and it's really easy.

  3. I haven't ever tried to write a post on my phone, but I guess it's pretty easy, according to dzkody anyway. I hope they fix it for you soon. That is tough. When we lost power, I went off to the coffee shop to write my posts. I am a creature of habit, and I like my familiar spot. :-)

  7. Well , I hope you've recovered from the second leg of your flight. Sometimes the length of these flights is just too long for the old bawd. Getting up at 4:15 AM would kill me.

  8. I hope you are feeling better. Hawaii is the place for me,even though I love to travel. It's the only place where I feel really good, wide awake and active. It's the comfortable temperatures and clean air that we enjoy most of the time.

  11. Nice that you have 2 homes, both so different from each other, yet you can feel comfortable in either place.

Glad to have you back even with a downed internet. Hope you are feeling your chipper self again soon.

  17. Sorry your return home was anti-climatic because of the flu or cold. Still, be it ever so humble, there is no place like home!

I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
