One evening my nephew, Cody texted when he was out to tell me the full moon was looking particularly beautiful.
I looked out the window and saw that the cloudless sky was truly allowing the moon to show itself to full effect.
I got my Canon Powershot SX50HS, propped it on the fence and took this photo. I noticed some irregularity at the top of the photo and blew it up.
Could those be mountains? Is it really possible for my little camera to capture a mountain on the moon? Then again, could it just be a glitch in the camera or my shaky fingers?
Maybe I should try this with a tripod next time.
Ah well... It's just neat to imagine it could be true.

I don't know, but probably just a bit of unsharpness that is more visible around the edges.

I did that for a wedding reception - zoomed in on the moon, slowly zoomed out and got the frame to the dance floor.
(all this with a hand held camera)
