I was walking with Art when he mentioned his ankle clicking. I hadn't been paying close attention. I thought it might be his shoes. I certainly didn't think it was coming from his feet or ankles.
Well, I looked it up. I guess it's an ankle condition after all. I got this from this Foot & Ankle website:
Otherwise there are orthotics such as ankle braces and arch supports that could be used.
Art says it doesn't bother him so he'll just go clicking away. I guess this way, he can never surprise me from the back.

"Snapping sound in the ankle is most commonly caused by a tendon slipping over the bone. When this happens, it is common to hear a snapping or clicking sound."The site also goes on to say that unless the condition is causing pain, it can be ignored.

I realise you've obviously discussed it but will he see a dr or has he read your online findings and decided to ignore it?
ReplyDeleteSeems he still walks nicely :)
ReplyDeleteEvery day a new surprise. Glad this is not painful and that you were able to find the upside.
ReplyDeleteGood that he is ok with it. The latest thing is knee surgeries for some of my friends
ReplyDeleteWell I dunno what's wrong with his ankle, but mine's been clicking for 40 years and I'm still walking. So I hope he does as well.
ReplyDeleteIf it is not one thing, it is another. This is a new one for me.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Make sure he reports it to his doctor next time he goes in.
ReplyDeleteYou find the most interesting information, Kay. Now I know what that occasional sound is in my knee! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. Wishing Art many happy miles
ReplyDeleteAge keeps surprising us with it new tricks. Just glad it is not painful nor debilitating. Well he for sure can't sneak up on you anymore.
ReplyDeleteFirst I've heard of it in the science way
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope this goes away.
ReplyDeleteYou are so much fun! I wondered what your post was about!!!! Now I know.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's the same as knee popping?
ReplyDeleteHe's going to ignore it, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteGood one, Kay!
