I wrote this post a while ago. I don’t have anything to say about the election because I haven’t been listening to it. (Sort of) The last I heard tonight was not sounding good and Art said we should just go to bed and deal with everything tomorrow. So... that’s what I’m doing and hoping for the best because I can’t think of the worst right now.

One particular hot night, I know I had been sweating on my pillow so I decided to put them outside in the sunshine to freshen it.
That's when I noticed that the plastic chairs I use to set the pillows on were really grimy looking. I tried cleaning the chairs with soap and hot water. It did nothing. It was probably clean now, but stained.
So... I thought I'd try using this bleach cleaner.

Sue bought a special cleaner that would supposedly restore life to older, coloured chairs. It didn't quite work as advertised.
ReplyDeleteWe use that stuff on our quartz countertops. Seeing this however, makes me think I should try it on our garage doors which are white and kind of dingy looking.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Just checked the election results this morning before coming down to the computer. Still no winner yet and to my unscientific eye, either one of the major candidates still has a shot. As predicted, no mention of my third party candidate.
This is weird... I just bought this same product (for the first time) 2 days ago. I like it's smell a lot, bleachy but clean. I wish I had some discolored lawn furniture to try it out on!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had something funny or positive to say about this election...I am scared but worn out.
Glad the bleach cleaner worked. You did all u could by voting what will be will be at this point. Fingers still crossed.
ReplyDeleteHad bad dreams all night. At least there's still a chance for Biden but then also for tRump.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a stickler for stains, I'm glad it work for you. I am also worn out of election anxiety. Nothing to do but wait. How did this happen? :-(
ReplyDeleteWow that really worked. May have to get some. So far the election is still a toss up. High anxiety times.
ReplyDeleteThink I'll try that stuff too. I'm cleaning house this week. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have both the Clorox and something I've used for years, Mr Clean but now they have the Mr. Clean Clean Freak. That stuff is amazing. I have two Adirondack chairs that are gray from the floating grime in the air. I used Clorox and it didn't work so I sprayed Clean Freak on them and then sprayed them down with the hose and they were pristine white again, I didn't have to scrub them like I usually do.That Clean Freak also cleans my stove and oven like magic.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try that...still hoping the election gets resolved soon...
ReplyDeleteBleach cleaners have become very difficult to find here. My favorite--Tilex--has completely disappeared. I found an off brand at ACE Hardware that works even better, or so I think, than Tilex. I buy 2 bottles at a time, one for each bathroom, as I'm afraid it too might disappear. The grocery clerk yesterday said he was seeing signs of hoarding again. Bah!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, and is a nice distraction from the horrible election. Ugh. I am disappointed, discouraged and very, very afraid.
ReplyDeleteWe watched the non-returns until 1130 last night, and I turned the sound off for a while this morning. I like your chairs a lot.
ReplyDeleteI use the kind that comes in a container that attaches to the garden hose. I spray, let it sit for just a while and then rinse. No scrubbing. It works for the siding and for the patio furniture.
ReplyDeleteNow that it is well into the afternoon after, things are looking much better for Biden. I think we will have something to cheer about by Friday. Then we just have to keep Trump and his lawyers under control, and then run a nation so deeply divided. Yeah, that's all.
ReplyDeleteGood to now about the cleaner.
I think my chairs are beyond chlorox . I just need new chairs.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm revisiting Kay's blog about Clorox Bleach Spray to get an update on how people feel about the election--and Linda's fine comment certainly made me feel a little better! I mean it, thank you Linda R. I realize 'it ain't over 'till it's over', and even then we've got a long road ahead of us--but my God I can't fathom the idea of another 4 years of this.
ReplyDeleteI think we can smile. Certainly we can smile about the Clorox.
ReplyDeleteGlad your cleaner with your elbow grease did such a good job. As for the election.....looks like it will be a while before resolved. Don't stay up late waiting to hear final results anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteMagic eraser pads work really well on white plastic chairs. Just an FYI.
