Leaving on a Jet Plane

This is it! We're leaving tomorrow for Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria. We'll be busy during the day with last minute preparations. Wouldn't you know it? My mother's medications which we ordered last week have somehow not arrived. We'll have to hunt some down tomorrow. My brother has suggested just getting a month's supply from Walmart for $4.00. No kidding?

It'll be a red-eye flight which won't be much fun. No photos will be allowed of me on Friday!

I'll try to post some photos from our first stop if I have good Internet connectivity. I'm sorry I won't be able to visit you all for a while.

See you on the other side of the Pacific.

  2. Have a safe and fun trip and see lots of nice things.
Naomi and family just left for the airport. To Sydney with a 24-hour stop in Seoul (they chose the visit). Fortunately someone called me a minute after they drove away, so my tears were cut short.
    Bye, Kay and Art!

  5. I spent a week in Vancouver, B.C. in March 1984, a long time ago!

It was very cold with snow on the ground. If I ever visit again, it will be in warm June.

  7. Your mother is making the trip too? Maybe you can get a little sleep on the airplane--most of your fellow passengers will try.

Have a lovely time; I'll be waiting to hear about your activities.

  11. We're planning some sun for you while you're here, but it wouldn't be the Pacific Northwest without a cold shower or two. Have fun.

  18. Victoria is "the" place I would choose from the three you listed. It is a fabulous place and the land around it is filled with wildlife or was when I was there. Have fun.

Living in such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived, you might enjoy a look at The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio. It is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.

I really LOVE hearing from you! However, if you sign in as ANONYMOUS, please don't forget to tell me who you are in the comment box by just writing your first name. We would all appreciate it if you kept your comment respectful and kind.

I’m using Comment Moderation for any post that is more than a day old because of aggravating SPAM. I'm sorry to have to do this, but again... sigh... it's the spam that's driving me crazy.
