"I'm Busy"

I asked KC to come to the changing pad this morning so I could change her diaper. She answered, "No, grandma. I'm busy."

She'd gotten hold of my Swifter and was cleaning the floors with it. Tif says she might just give her one at home to use when they return to Illinois. Why waste all that available energy?

Granted, once she knows we want her to do it, she may stop. She can be awfully TWO.

  1. She can come visit me, and bring the Swiffer! LOL That's wonderfully 2.

  2. how funny, I remember when I had to fight my 2 yr old now 25 and expecting their first baby for the vacuum. He loved to push it around. Later it was his job as a teenager and he could vacuum our whole multi=level house in 10 minutes flat. LOL!

  3. When she gets old enough to do chores on a regular basis, you will have to give her an allowance! LOL. Glad to see she is willing to work for free right now.

  4. Ah, does bring back memories of the "2s" and my kids. My first daughter was such a perfect little angel and I thought it was all because I was such a great mom -- boy, did my second one teach me just how wrong I was! From perfect angel to the devil on little feet! But it's fun looking back. Oh, and if KC runs out of floors to sweep, I can supply her with some to keep her busy!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  6. I'd be willing to hire her for some cleaning here. Are her rates reasonable?

    She's a little doll.

  8. Oh such a sweetie! Yes, when sweeping the floors becomes a chore then an allowance will be wanted! She seems very intent on doing a good job. Ah, the "twos"!

  9. "Awfully TWO", what a great phrase. I read once that Two is the first adolescence, when toddlers have enough skill to want to try things out on their own.
    Great post.
