EXTREMELY Fancy Auto Paint Job

We were out marketing early one morning when I saw an astonishing sight.

OK, I've seen some fun or weird paint jobs on cars and trucks but this one astonished me.

It was so striking that I did a double take. When I walked around the car I saw that the other side was equally rather amazing. And yes, I had to take a photo in case I wanted to show it to you.

I just blew up this photo and saw the writing on the girl's chest. Goodsmile Racing? What the heck is that?

So of course, I looked it up online. You can find anything online. Sure enough. I found a website called Good Smile Racing:

Good Smile Company, also known as GSC or Good Smile, is a Japanese manufacturer of hobby products such as the Nendoroid and figma product lines, as well as scale figures. In addition to production and manufacturing, our business includes design, marketing and distribution. Our products are usually based on anime, manga or games that are popular in Japan, China, and the USA.

OK, now I know.

  1. That's a lot of work to make the car look like that. I think the wheels need to be polished and shiny. Linda in Kansas

  3. Wow, that is quite a car. Linda makes a good point though. The wheels look like they don't belong and really distract from the paint job.

  4. Haha, wow! I have to agree with Linda & Patti, new tires and rims please 🙂 Anyway I can totally see Art driving this anime car...😎

  5. Actually that isn't paint. They make automotive wraps for vehicles that are essentially screen printed and then applied to the vehicle like large stickers. It is much cheaper to do than a paint job and easier to change in the future. Many companies use them as a moving billboard for advertising which I assume is what Goodsmile Racing is doing.

  7. Anime indeed. One sees a lot of that at Comic Con. I'm smiling.
G knows all about wraps, and when I suggested that we get flames on Grumpy, he said we could do it the easy way with a wrap. :)

  8. Certainly eye-catching. I wonder if they got recompense for the advertising.

  9. Wow, cool but not my style. I don't even do bumper stickers. :)

  10. Eye catching for sure. And look at all the things we can learn by seeing something new. Good old Google machine, and other bloggers. That's a wrap!

  11. Mercy! Everyone would see you coming in that car. Not my favorite look, but it's fun. :-)

  12. Really outstanding! I also admire those buildings that have art painted on them. Amazing how the artists can paint on that large a scale.

  15. No doubt someone's pride and joy. I have never seen a vehicle with the kind of artistic detail this one has. Thank you for the research too.
