To everyone who celebrates Christmas religiously or in a secular way like we do, I would like to wish you a very happy, healthy and merry Christmas.
I loved it that my aunt (my mother's sister) who is a devout Buddhist sent us a Christmas card recently. The Japanese create such beautiful and original greeting cards.
This is what came flattened in an envelope with one letter for Art and me and one for mom. Mom read our letter to me and I translated it for Art.
Gosh! I wonder if my aunt and family will be having Kentucky Fried chicken and strawberry shortcake tonight along with other Japanese for which that has become a tradition. 😁
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate this special holiday!
Merry Christmas to you and your family Kay from a comfortably warm Melbourne. 🎅🎄
ReplyDeleteIt's not too long to go before new year will be here so a Happy Healthy one of those as well 😊
merry xmas to you, art and your mom!
ReplyDeleteBy all means Merry Christmas to you and all your family!!
ReplyDeleteLove that clever little tree. May the special day warm your hearts and put smiles on your faces. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card and the Kentucky and shortcake sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family! Strawberry shortcake sounds wonderful, but when I looked at strawberries in the store two days ago a container was $5 (and they didn't even look good).
ReplyDeleteOh, my, that card is so beautiful! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI guess we celebrate in secular way although I do have Christmas carols playing right now. Even when we were Christians, our celebrations were mostly secular. If most Christians were honest, they would admit that this is what they do.
ReplyDeleteI love that card, too! Merry Everything, said by a dear friend (you). :-)
ReplyDeleteStrawberry shortcake sounds delicious! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have an advent service for the 4 Sundays, a candlelight service the Sunday night prior, a midnight Christmas Eve communion service! I loved being in the choir at Christmas. Not so much now.
ReplyDeleteThe card is amazing! Merry Christmas!
Since I learned about the Japanese and their fondness for Kentucky Fried chicken this time of year, I have told a number of people this and all have had their mind blown away.
ReplyDeleteThank you, we do. I'm sure they will be having those special foods this holiday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tree.
Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Card. love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThat card is utterly gorgeous. Although I don't like KFC, I do love strawberry shortcake. We all have our quirky traditions. :) Hope you have a lovely Xmas!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card.
ReplyDeleteI'm spending the weekend quietly. Self care is the order of the day.
Sending you virtual hugs from Hawaii, William.
DeleteKFC sounds good about now but we'll go the ham and yam routine tomorrow. Quietly at home just us two as our families are gathered in far off other states plus mexico and peru!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful cards! Save them for grandchildren's "show and tell" in class. (They still do that don't they?) If the Japanese look for KFC, that's more sushi available for the others! Have a peaceful and wonderful Christmas Day! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteIt's always interesting to hear what other cultures do. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful, delicate Christmas card. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteLove the card. Merry, merry, whatever you do, may it be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! Merry Christmas to you and yours, Kay!
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon and happy holidays. New friends and bloggers will be welcome in 2022, I'm Brazilian from the city of Rio de Janeiro. I would like to invite you to meet my Blogger.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, Kay. It has been a wonderful celebration here. Lots of laughs and love. Christmas Mad Libs were a hit at the dinner table and kept both granddaughters engaged the entire meal. We ended the meal with English Crackers - loud bangs, hats, and magic tricks inside. Another hit to be repeated next year. Must check the after Christmas sales for them.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that card! We should have some like that. Hope your holiday was special.
