I'm OK. Sigh.... I'm OK.
Now... back to concentrating on the move again.
1. We purchased a gift certificate to thank the realtor we almost used before our daughter and son-in-law decided they would buy our house after all. Even though we weren't going to use him, John Adamson gave us lots of terrific recommendations and advice concerning our move. He made things so much easier for us. It was lovely to see him one last time and let him know how much we appreciated his kindness.
2. We went shopping on base to get the house ready for our daughter, Tiffany and her family. They'll be staying in our house every so often until they make the final move after they sell their condo. She's adding a lot of little touches to transition it more into their home now. It's a lovely feeling to see all of KC's toys everywhere and photos on the walls. I dreaded seeing the house empty when we left, but now it's filled with warmth and love again.

3. Gathered the last of our garbage for the BIG pick up tomorrow. Our neighbors were kind enough to let us use their garbage containers to distribute our garbage load. This is Vera who is originally from Germany. Her son, Oliver is one of those sons that everybody wishes every son would be like. When he was 6, he used to walk our daughter home from kindergarten. Her garbage container was the first that we filled.

4. Brought our Honda van in to be serviced for the big cross country trip. We're sure going to miss our car repair place here. It's nice to have a mechanic we really trust.
Fantastic news about your test results Kay, I am so relieved for you. And now the move is almost upon you my friend.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very easy passage to your new home in wonderful Hawaii. Everytime you feel like screaming in the next few days, remember your results and smile instead :-)
i'm tired just listening to all you've done and are yet to do...this is quite a dance, moving all these things and yourselves around the world. hang in there, the end is in sight...cheers!
ReplyDeleteKay..I'm glad the test was clear, now on to the move.....
ReplyDeleteYou make light of it, but you must be feeling so relieved with your test results. I hope the bouyant feeling stays with you over the next few days.
ReplyDeleteI look at your stuff on the street and think, Kay--you have guts! And so much soul. And NO cancer!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!
You are right on track. Congrats on your good news.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that you're doing well. It is nice that your daughter and her family can move to what sounds like such a welcoming and supportive neighborhood. When we sold our home, we promised our sweet neighbors that we would make sure it went to a good family--it did. It's much easier to leave that way.
ReplyDeleteRest a little and appreciate all you've accomplished.
I'm catching up on all your posts, going backwards, but was absolutely thrilled that you aced your tests!! Still so much work going on,, but how wonderful your home will still be filled with hearts you love!
ReplyDeleteI think it's all a dream that you are leaving and I am blogging... Love the picture you took of Art and me. Are you wearing the buttons? The sky is crying. See ya!
