I do worry about my electronics when we travel. Our backpacks do have a place to store our iPads or eReaders but they never feel quite padded enough.
Then it occurred to me that Amazon sends a lot of stuff in these bubble lined packages and it seems to protect whatever I order.
So I got some packing tape and reinforced the envelope opening and bottom. Then I slipped the envelope into the backpack.
Yup. I think it will work quite nicely. If nothing else, it makes me feel more confident.

what a great idea. i save mine, cut them open and use them under my cooling racks when i am brushing rolls or bread with melted butter. they absorb everything and the plastic bubble part keeps the butter off the counter. a bit wacky but it works and at least i get some use out of them!.
ReplyDeleteHmm .. heading out on another trip? or was this prep for the trip you just took in December?
ReplyDeleteWe are staying in this hemisphere this year. Our biggest trip will be a driving vacation along the St. Lawrence in Quebec. Have you done that?
That's a super idea. Two good ideas -- yours and he one above from a commenter. I am always looking for ways to reuse but I am not so creative.
ReplyDeleteI don't get many Amazon packages, but I purchased such an envelope from the Post Office one time, that had a plastic wrap exterior with bubbles inside. I cut it down and put my portable keyboard in it, then into my nursing backpack. It stayed very safe. (I bluetoothed my keyboard to my smarphone to write HIPPA protected emails into my office, in order to write on-call notes in the field after a patient visit.) Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteWow! You are such a techie! That is terrific!
DeleteI do like recycling. My laptop came with a padded carrying case, but this could work for many other things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool recycle. Keep it out of the landfill and keeps your electronics safe. Always thinking Kay.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to reuse. I always seems like a shame to throw those away.
ReplyDeleteA simple good idea!
ReplyDeleteBlessings....
ReplyDeleteCreativity is the mother of invention.
Recycle, reduce, reuse.
good for you.
Mine are usually boxes, sometimes the bag
ReplyDeleteGreat recycling!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'll find some way to reuse mine, too. You are a good inspiration. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood idea.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a tried and true product. It pays to use your head and use things that are readily available.
ReplyDeleteclever idea!
ReplyDeleteYou are a clever woman! Good idea. I'm not traveling anytime soon, though. We lost 93 this week. It is tragic.
ReplyDeleteIt’s all so tragic and scary.
